“An ok stay, good breakfast, room clean but a little tired, great location and they take dogs.”

Perhaps I'm being a little harsh, but for the price I expected something more.

The room was clean and tidy, with a tv, tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was dated (70s), but clean and stocked with plenty of toiletries.

Breakfast the following morning, plenty of cereals, yoghurts and fruit on offer, a cooked breakfast was provided with the choice of "how do you like your eggs in the morning", (didn't have mine with a kiss!).

Location ideal for walking, and brilliant that they take dogs.

Just think it was a little overpriced for the offering, although I don't know how it compares to other b&b's in the area.

This is a gem of a bed and breakfast. Both my partner and I had spent a wind swept, rain and mist filled day on the middle of kinder so to arrive at a dry, warm and friendly b & b was certainly a luxury. The place is ideally situated for walks in the Peak and provides easy access via a short walk to both pubs in the village (take a head torch). Mark was a great host and breakfast in the morning was delicious. We very much needed the break and this bed and breakfast certainly accommodated us for this. Would we return? Most definitely. Cheers John and Maria

My fiancée and I stayed here in August 2012 and we were overwhelmed by how welcome we were made to feel.
Theresa and Mark are fantastic hosts, making us feel we were part of the family. My fiancée is wheat intolerant and was provided with gluten free breakfast which was delicious. My breakfast was traditional English and cooked to perfection.
Everything here is top quality from the beautiful setting with spectacular views to the cosiet and comfortable rooms.
We were provided with packed lunches for our daily walks and evening meals by request.
The evening meals are Awesome. Far better than you'd expect from a B&B and much better than either The Ramblers Arms or The Nags Head ( avoid the nags head if you can)
All in all 10 out 10. Better by far than any B &B we've ever stayed in. Child friendly and pet friendly it's delightful.
Thank you to Theresa and Mark for making our stay so enjoyable.

You can even get picked up from the local train station if travelling by rail!

This B&B was cheap, and excellent. The staff were freindly, and the guests too. The rooms clean and a very high standard. The only down side to this, was in our room, there was a master bed and a camping bed witch was hard and uncomfortable. Food amazing! Perfect B&B for passes by:)

Room Tip: ask for the on-suite, or the bathroom is a separate room and others use it:)

My family and i stayed here for one night as it was my husbands birthday, and edale is his favourite place. Although the place does need updating somewhat, we did have a very plesant stay here, my daughter said when we decorate our house can we decorate it like this so its like a countryside cottage! So she was impressed!! The breakfast was probably one of the best we've had in any hotel. The family who own it are very friendly and welcoming.

This is located in THE most beautiful place, the house was charming and the window looked out onto spectacular scenery and cute little lambs actually skipping in the field. Mark and Teresa were lovely, and resolved a problem i had even before i realised i had it. The room and bed were very comfortable and met all my needs as a single traveller - if i ever return to the UK i will definitely come back and stay again (and hope it doesn't rain non stop for 30 days!). It was a little over my budget, but it was worth the splurge.

We got a last minute booking during August. The location is ideal for walking in the Edale region and around, and the views are spectacular. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and serve a first class breakfast.

However, we thought the room was slightly shabby and lacked anywhere to sit down other than the bed, which was quite uncomfortable. It is probably due for a bit of redecoration and a good spring clean. For the price we expected a bit better.
