Lovely b&b. breakfast excellent. Garden great for kids. Good location and very comfortable. Jo who runs it was very pleasant and did everything to help. You need a car probably to go but this wasn't a problem for us

Stay there for two nights and it was really good. Very clean and tidy place with nice view as well. Took a train from Sheffield to Bamford and it was about 15-20 minute walk from there. You can walk to ladybower reservoir from the place. Had a nice breakfast as well and they are really friendly.

Room Tip: There are 3 rooms’ two doubles and one twin. One double is on upstairs and have a separate entrance...

This is an excellent B&B superbly located for walks in the Hope valley. I stayed in the downstairs double room which was roomy and thoughtfully furnished. It made a change to stay in a B&B room that was comfortable to actually sit in: proper chairs and plenty of lighting for reading. Breakfast was beautifully prepared to order. Jo and Leon are very friendly.

I stayed in December - it is worth remembering to take a torch if you intend to walk round to the nearby Rising Sun pub for an evening meal as the road is unlit.

We stayed here for 1night in the attic room, which was very pleasant. Although we drove past the place about 4 times trying to find it!
It is at the end of a driveway with a small sign outside, just past the pub.
The room was clean, and had everything we needed to make tea and coffee, nice big bed and a great view from the bedroom window. They were very friendly and we had a great chat with them over breakfast which was great. I had a full English. The other half had eggs on toast and fruit as she was running in the red bull steeplechase,I of course was there for support only!!
Would use again..

My son and I have just come back from a pleasant two night stay at Thornhill View. The beds were comfortable, Jo was very pleasant and the breakfasts were excellent. My son is a vegan and Jo provided a lovely breakfast for him as well as giving me an excellent full English.
Minor grumbles were that there is no separate lounge to sit in (this would have been nice as my son and I have different bed times). Also the TV was like a computer screen in that you had to look at it from exactly the right angle - difficult since the TV was on the top of a chest of drawers.
A bigger concern was that there wasn't enough hot water for showers - we got back cold and wet from our walk at 4 p.m. (the time most people would return as it got dark soon after), my son's shower started only just hot enough and went lukewarm before he had finished; and I had to wait nearly 2 hours for the water to warm up again. I'm sure Jo would have turned the boiler on if she had been there, but she was out at the time.

Room Tip: The twin room is quite small and the private bathroom is across the corridor.

This B&B is one of the most amazing places I've ever stayed. We had the top floor (which is a small house!) with the skylights and got to see the stars at night. The bed was incredibly comfy and the little fireplace was a really nice touch. I'd go back in a heartbeat!
