Our stay at Townend cottage was wonderful! The location and the facilities were perfect. This is a clean cosy cottage equipped with everything you need for cooking or within walking distance to country pubs serving yummy food!

“Awesome little retreat”
Reviewed 22 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We had a lovely weekend break in Townsend Holiday Cottage. It's small but perfectly formed with everything you could possibly need including a home made cake and eggs on arrival from Lindsay, the owner. Situated in a picturesque little village with a lovely local pub just a stones throw away and lots of walks on your doorstep. Bakewell is only a 5 minute drive away too. We will definitely be back.

“Ideal Peak District Hideaway.”
Reviewed 16 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

This lovely, comfortable and well appointed holiday cottage is set in the typical peak district village of Sheldon, with a great little pub, with good food, and friendly staff. The cottage although small is ideal for a couple, and has everything you need. It is very clean, and well decorated, and everything works as it should. It was also a nice surprise on arrival to find all the extra little touches that make you feel welcome. Such as a homemade cake, fresh eggs, and milk. In short we know that when we visit the Peak District next, where we would like to stay.
