“Keepers Cottage was a wonderful cosy cottage well worth a trip here”
Reviewed 23 November 2016 for a stay in November 2016

We have just spent 3 great days here. Cottage is lovely, so warm and cosy with everything possible provided including lovely extras being provided including dressing gowns, towels and hairdryer.
Stunning setting, waking up to uninterrupted views of the peak district with friendly neighbours (two miniature Shetland ponies) peeping over the fence at you!
Village setting is very pretty, everyone friendly, hope to be back again. Lindsey was an exceptional host.

“a little haven”
Reviewed 21 November 2016 for a stay in September 2016

another lovely week in our very cosy cottage.Welcomed again with fresh eggs, milk and a fresh sponge cake much enjoyed. We had afternoons sat on the patio sipping wine, watching the animals in the paddock and looking over the White dale, so quiet. Evenings sat indoors with the wood burner keeping us very cosy after a good meal at the pub across the street just idyllic.
many thanks Ann and Colin

“Love this place!”
Reviewed 8 November 2016 for a stay in May 2016

This is a great little cottage, backing on to a lovely Peak District scenery in the country. The hamlet is picturesque and friendly - and there is a pub just a short walk away. The cottage is small, but cozy and has everything you'd need for a nice stay in the area. Would gladly go back there.

“Lovely Cottage in a Great Location”
Reviewed 2 November 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We stayed in October 2016, it was myself, my partner and our dog.

The cottage itself was fantastic, very well decorated and contained everything you need for a short stay. The home baked cake and fresh eggs were fantastic and a lovely welcoming touch, we felt very welcome when we arrived. The cottage itself is a little difficult to find, but Lindsey provides very helpful directions. I'd recommend taking note of the directions as signal is very intermittent in the area. The log fire keeps the cottage very cosy in the evenings, though there are electric heaters available if you're not particularly comfortable with it.

The location was perfect for what we wanted, we went on various hikes in the area, over to Kinder Scout and along the Penine Way. We didn't find any need to drive for longer than 40 minutes to get to anywhere we wanted to see.

We'd highly recommend the cottage and the area to anyone.

“a little gem”
Reviewed 7 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

what a place this is home away from home from the greeting to the eggs milk and lemon drizzle cake, everything you could want is here the cottage has everything, Lindsay has thought of it all. very clean comfy you just want to stay in and enjoy it all, there are dvd's and games all the pots pans and cooking aids you could ever need, the bed is very comfy, and we must not forget the animals on your doorstep the 2 miniature Shetlands give hrs of pleasure. You are no more than 5 minutes away from the main routes of the peak district, there is great food in the village at the local pub and everybody makes you feel so at home, we will certainly be back a great place and a great couple who run it you deserve all the success you get thanks for a wonderful stay. peter and Carol-Ann lockett
