We stayed here for two weeks - a fantastic hotel with a great team. Food delicious and freshly prepared, accommodation spacious - every request is taken seriously and acted upon promptly - and the view from room and balcony absolutely spectacular! We will return - hopefully soon :)

Room Tip: First floor rooms, towards the end of each wing, have the best views of the mountains!

September / October 2013 was our 3rd and then 4th stay at the Arc hotel. This time we had rooms on the second floor with a lovely little balcony and views of the mountains. The room was very quiet and extremely clean with an air conditioner that worked well, but with the ceiling fans we really didn't need it. We have always found the service at the front desk to be professional and friendly. We also have always liked the food choices in the restaurant. The service in the restaurant has improved a lot from the first time we stayed in 2011 and we have no complaints. Breakfast has also improved. We love this little hotel and highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Ask for a second floor room on away from the restaurant.

Dear Kilopascal,
This is one of the best reviews, if not the best review, we have received via TripAdvisor.
It is indeed an encouragement for our staff to learn that both our restaurant service and our breakfast have improved. We in the management know that our staff is doing their best to serve our guests, and we intend to continue along that path. We know that the English language can often be a problem for our Swahili speaking staff. We therefore intend to introduce English language training for our staff. We also maintain a non-discriminatory policy between Tanzanians and foreigners regarding room rates. We believe that this policy is to the advantage of all of us.
We look forward to your next stay with us.

Stayed at Arc hotel two nights for a work trip - wish I could have been there longer to enjoy the beautiful surroundings! The view of Uluguru Mountains from my balcony was breathtaking (be sure to ask for a room with a balcony if available).

The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable, with modern amenities like a air conditioning, a tea-kettle a mini-fridge and plenty of storage space. Complimentrary bottled water. Furnishings feel a bit bland, but what the indoor decor lacks in character the gorgeous outdoors more than makes up for. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the manger himself, a Belgian, emailed to enquire about my stay. Excellent value for money, I would definitely go back.

Room Tip: As for rooms on the second floor with a balcony. The room at the furthest end of the hallway (I thin...

The view from our room was just amazing - those mountains you cannot beat, and the service was surprisingly good compared to what we had experience during our stay in Tanzania. We look forward to coming back to this hotel next time we visit this amazing country which has so much to offer.

Probably the cleanest best place we stayed in while in Africa. Make sure to call the front desk if there isn't hot water, which there should be . However the con is the restaurant... It's extremely slow. We waited two hours for dinner. I don't know if there's somewhere else to eat .., the food is hit and miss as well. The view is amazing and worth staying there. Arise early to watch the sunrise! Worth it.

We have stayed at Arc Hotel in Morogoro on several occasions, as a place for an overnight stop on long journeys between Dodoma and Dar es Salaam. Arc hotel is convenient for this purpose. It is also clean and well equipped, with great mossie nets and good bathrooms in all the rooms we have stayed in. We have stayed there with our 3 kids and the staff have been helpful in accommodating the children, providing an extra mattress and mossie net, despite not being set up with family rooms- most rooms seem to have 1 double and 1 single bed. Beautiful views of mountains from the rooms and the restaurant. 2 things to note: rooms above the restaurant can be very noisy, with loud noise and music going on until after 11pm. Also, be prepared to wait for your food after ordering at the restaurant!

Room Tip: Rooms away from restaurant and bar are quieter.

I've stayed here four times now in the last year, with both family and friends, and have been made to feel very welcome on each occasion. Arc hotel is a lovely quiet spot, not far from the main road but a little way out of Morogoro itself. The view of the mountains can't be beaten, particularly during the full moon, and the balcony or garden are both pleasant to sit out in. The kids enjoy the small playground, though I agree that a pool would make this even better a place to stay. The showers are great, and beds are spacious. We've both had breakfast in the restaurant, and packed breakfasts en route early to Mikumi which staff were very willing to provide. Breakfast itself is ok - I've had wonderful local cheese, and the coffee machine is a welcome addition. The menu is wide and varied, and we have all enjoyed what we've chosen. If it wasn't for the traffic from Dar, I'd be a more regular visitor!

Room Tip: First floor rooms facing the mountains have fantastic views!
