We are a family with two adoults and three children. This hotel is located right beside the gondola. We were very satisfied with everything. Nice pool, spa, great food, kids room, nice and clean rooms and very nice staff. We will definitely come back!

It was our first time in Großarl at Nesslerhof and we're truly impressed. The hotel is very good located direct by the slope with nice views to the mountains and lots of possibilities for hiking and skiing as well. The first impression after arriving was excellent with plenty of informations about the hotel and activities. The room was spotlessly clean with comfortable bed, nice bathroom above all enough space for all togs. Furthermore nice furnished and provided with all facilities you need. The food overall was excellent. Breakfast with a wide range of breads, chees, eggs, joghurt, fruits above all lavish. Dinner with 3 aisles and a wide range of excellent wines for a good value.
Spa area is not huge but provided with two saunas, infrarot kabin, steam room, a beautiful lake and nice relaxing rooms.
The staff overall was very friendly and helpful at any time. All in all a excellent hotel for a good cost effectiveness.
For sure we come back in the near future.

When we were underway from Slovenia to Holland we looked for a smart deal on bookings.com in Austria near the A10 to Salzburg. We found Nesslerhof especially the welness looked very good. We booked a room in the old hotel (Alt Nesslerhof) with half board. On arrival we were told that there had been made a mistake and there was wrong information on Bookings.com and at first we had to pay an extra small ammount of euros. After some discussion finally the management agreed it was their problem and not ours. Problem solved.

Room:
The room in the old Nesslerhof is spaceous, clean good beds. Nice Balcony with excellent view. As the name old Nesslerhof already indicates it is outdated, but nothing is worn off or damaged, looks new. There is an tunnel which you can use to enter the new hotel. The contrast between the old Nesslerhof and the new is big. When we drove off for home, we said to each other that we should have looked in the new rooms. They must be amazing.

Service and staff:
Service is very friendly and helpfull. The staff is extremely caring about their guest not leaving them out of their eye sight for one second and always making sure "alles ist gut". Staff is also skilled, for instance how they serve the food or present the wine. A good review has also room for improvement, some of the younger staff is almost running through the restaurant making everyone happy and not letting anybody wait for food or drinks, the downside is that their being busy as a bee brought some unrest over to us. We almost wanted to say, relax, we can wait 1 minute extra!

One evening there was a photographer in the hotel and we were asked by the lady of the house to join them at the bar to act as figurant for some promotion pictures. Offcourse we wanted to join the other guests and we had an very nice evening with a lot of laughter and fun. We hope the pictures show the same!

Food:
Breakfast is very good. A lot of choice, quality of everything is excellent. You can order egg products from a cook, which makes it fresh for you. The available sparkling wine completed the royal feeling we had for us. At breakfast the staff asks you to choose between dishes for dinner. The choises include meat, fish or vegetarian. You can also ask for low calorie variations if you like. But hey we were having vacation so never asked for that :-)
The dinner itself: You get some nice amuse, then you can pick your salat from a very good salatbuffet. Next is a nice entree followed by mostly soup. Main dish then desert. Finished? No! There is nice variety of cheeses available. Still hungry? No problem, you can finally take some excellent icecream from the ice buffet.
Quality of all courses is superduper. They suggest a wine with the meal, which we followed and were never dissapointed, but positively suprised instead. You can also pick from the winecard ofcourse.

Wellness:
Being a wellness veterans we thing we can make an good comparison of the wellness of Nesslerhof and other wellnesses in Europe. In our view the wellness bereich of Nesslerhof is one of the best we have ever been in. Everything feels the way it should be. It is clean, several nice sauna's. The one we liked best, the "Alpine sauna", is outside and has an excellent view on the mountains. One minor point of improvement in our eyes: There is no possibility to take a footbath.
We did not make use of the treatments provided.

Other:
- Location is so nice if you love the mountains like we do.
- Free spacious parking
- Fast free WIFI in the lobby and in the rooms. On the spot we had dinner and breakfast there was weak or no signal, could be just our spot.

Conclusion:
We recommend this hotel to everyone. We just had a room in the Alt Nesslerhof, but we are very curious to the rooms in the new hotel since we think they are awesome. We visited in summer, but we would definately consider to return in winter. The hotel has a ski-lift in just 30 meters walking across the street!

Ww stayed here at the start of december for 2 nights, the hotel had just opened a few weeks prior. On arrival we were greeted by the receptionist who insisted in showing us to our room, we had to wait 5 minutes for her to leave reception as she was dealing with other people. I told her we could find our own way but she insisted she would bring us up. Honestly no need for this type of service.

The hotel is fabulous, rooms were comfortable and well laid out. we had a lovely view of the ski slopes. The hotel swimming pool and spa area were perfect. The gym was very small.

We were on a half board package, breakfast was lovely, afternoon salad/cake was a very nice touch but the evening meal is hit and miss. The salad buffet was brilliant but the main courses were limited in choice (3 courses).

the bar area was relaxing and well laid out.

Would I recommend this hotel to others? The answer would be a Yes
