I went to Tacloban to arrange for a meeting development partners. I was told that Tacloban was so ravaged by Typhoon Yolanda.
The facade of the building is that of an old house (circa 1940's?). But there were newer extensions in 2 sides and at the back.
The front desk was helpful and efficient. He gave me the LAST room available (the hotel is filled with international aid workers). He was apologetic as he informed me that it is only available for an overnite stay ( which is not a problem for me because im scheduled for a return flight the next day).
The room was okey as to size and clean enough and the rate is reasonable. The coffee shop offers a wide array of standard hotel food. The restaurant staff was very friendly and attentive.
Theres no phone and no tv since the disastrous typhoon wrecked havoc on the posts/cables all over Tacloban.
I will return to hotel Alejandro when if I go back to Tacloban City.
