Review of CAP Building

CAP Building
Reviewed 15 November 2011

I just happened to pass by this area while i was strolling in the park.Actually this is the Mc Arthur's mansion, occupied by CAP but later on vacated it when it went bankrupt..It has the monument of Mcarthur inside the compound, It has a museum, but the place needs renovation as the ceiling is about to give in.

Poorly maintained and of little interest. Only thing of possible interest is a statue of Mcarthur doing the hand-over of control of Philippines back to the Filipinos after WWII.

There was no need for you to enter the building. It looked as if it is unmaintained. The locales said it used to be a magnificent library that housed thousands of books, but today, nothing is left inside worth seeing.
My tip, would be good to just, at least, see the building from afar when ever you find yourself wandering around Tacloban.
