“A Wonderful Experience!”
Reviewed 14 April 2014

Beautiful surroundings in a small Turkish village in the mountains staying in a beautiful, well appointed, comfortable room is soothing. Breakfast on the terrace shielded from the sun by a grapevine trellis over top the table is divine. Ahmet, the owner provided information on nearby Roman ruins sites like Ephesus, Priene and Melletis, and Magnesia. He directed us to wonderful restaurants for dinner. We were treated like family. I highly recommend this hotel

We had a fabulous time at the the Hotel Sirince Evleri. My husband, another couple and I stayed here overnight after spending the day touring Ephesus. It was a lovely setting, the host, Ahmet was fabulous and we loved the historic, character-loaded charm of the place. It is a bit rustic, but we loved that about it. It was very clean, the bed was comfy, and the breakfast was delicious. If you are looking for the Four Seasons, this is not it. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway in a place that exudes history, where the people are friendly and eager to please, we highly recommend it!

Very good indeed. Here you have the right turkish atmosphere. Nice and clean room. A fantastic breakfast. And best of all a very nice landlord Ahmet Kocak. He speaks excellent english, but also italian and french. I just say - go there!

We arrive to the hotel very late and owner of the hotel Ahmet was waiting for us. He helped us to park the car and helped with our bags. Room we got was really nice - very different from what you usually get from hotel chains. It felt like you stay in someone's house - traditionally decorated with rugs and lovely furniture. It felt very comfortable.
Owner asked what time we would like to have a breakfast in the morning and he put a lot of effort to prepare it. Selection of cheeses, fresh bread, fresh juices and wonderful coffee. Ahmet also took his time to give us a lot of advice on local attractions. He was very knowledgable and friendly. It was really nice chat over coffee with great view from little roof garden where breakfast was served.
The reason for 4 out of 5 is the value. We found the pric paid for 2 star hotel to be a little too high.
Stay in Hotel Sirince Evleri is very interesting and authentic experience and we would recomend it to everyone.

Had a lovely stay at Hotel Sirince Evleri. This was my first trip to Turkey and besides Istanbul, we wanted to visit places like Ephesus, Artemis' Temple, Mary's house, etc. Selcuk is a great base to do that but friends told us about the pretty village of Sirince, just a short distance from Selcuk (there are regular shuttles between Selcuk and Sirince). I am so glad we stayed in Sirince--it is a beautiful Turkish village. It was even more perfect because we stayed at the Hotel Sirince Evleri, a beautifully restored Turkish home. Ahmet Kocak, the proprietor is a wonderfully attentive host. He has restored two homes and chosen lovely traditional pieces and furniture to decorate the rooms. The home we stayed in has 4 independent units with attached baths. The room was comfortable, cozy, and delightful. Ahmet's breakfasts are absolutely wonderful..homemade jams, olives, cheeses, eggs, etc. The hotel is a short distance from the main streets of Sirince with their lovely shops and restaurants (enjoyed dinner at Hotel Artemis across the road and other local restaurants). The shuttle to Selcuk is a few steps away as well. Most importantly, Ahmet made us feel at home and was incredibly helpful with his suggestions on what to do in the area and how to get around. It was a delightful stay and I hope to be back again soon!

Room Tip: I would suggest booking directly through the hotel's website and emailing/ phoning Ahmet with an...

Magnificent! ... enjoying breakfast on the terrace and the views from there. Ahmet the proprietor really does look after his guests. He is very knowledgeable about the area and is very happy to help with any queries or travel arrangements. The breakfast is simply amazing .. all the ingredients are so fresh and I believe most of them local. To sit on the terrace and look across the rooftops at the olive groves, poplar trees and hillside was so tranquil. The rooms, yes are small, but with a lot of character; much thought has gone in to the refurbishment and decoration of this delightful old building. Sirince has some good eateries ... it was lovely to wander round the little streets, and also out into the hillside. look at the crafts etc for sale. October was a good time to visit for me. Not too hot but warm enough to sit outside during the day time. It was a very different world, away from the hustle and bustle of life :)

I loved my stay at Hotel Sirince Evleri which is located in a quaint little Turkish village surrounded by mountains. Ahmet Kocak, the proprietor, has two beautiful Greek houses which have been restored to its former glory and furnished with traditional furniture, antiques and rugs. I was warmly welcomed by Ahmet in his charming cottage. Ahmet helped me with arranging my trip and sightseeing – he planned out my itinerary for Selcuk and Ephesus and the next two cities - Izmir and Pamukkale. Initially I wanted to stay one night but with Ahmet’s warm and caring hospitality, I extended my stay.

It is definitely one of the most pleasant places to stay. The village of Sirince is a wonderful antidote to the hustle and bustle of Istanbul. Ahmet was an excellent host and very helpful. A very hearty breakfast is served every morning on the patio planted with lovely flowers overlooking the mountains and surrounded by the magical atmosphere of Sirince.

The village of Sirince is quite a haven and should not be missed. A brilliant location to stay while visiting Ephesus or just to get away for a few days.
