A very positive experience overall. They helped my daughter learn how to bait a hook and make sure she enjoyed her first fishing trip from a boat to discussing the ecology of the island with the captain. Captain Morgan and Alex are very knowledgeable and made sure it was a fun day. We enjoyed the fish for 2 days!

Fishing in Maui is great but what made this excursion extraordinary was the staff of Maui Fun Charters.
I have been on fishing trips before here in NY/NJ, so I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at Maalea to see Marjorie Ann. All I can say is that I am very happy that it is with a small group of people (6 for my trip), and the boat is extremely clean. Capt Kelly and Alex kept a very clean boat. They were telling us that they almost named the boat “Oh-Sea-Dee”, and that would have been such an apt name.
They were very knowledgeable and very helpful in assisting us and allowing us to enjoy our time fishing. We hit up the first spot and we were able to catch plenty of blue striped snappers that we were able to take home for dinner. As the captain said, he usually asks what our goal was for the fishing trip, and we told him we wanted dinner, so for our goal, Maui Fun Charter definitely delivered.

A must do day of fishing for everyone! Captain Monroe and Alex are great. The Marjorie Ann, a 6 passenger boat, provides a more personal experience than those large charters. If you want to catch fish, bottom fishing with Maui Fun Charters is the trip for you. Caught snapper, soldier fish, pipi? fish, and a tuna on the community line (not shown). Would definitely take this trip again. You should too.

My wife and daughter and I had a great time with Monroe and Alex. 18 fish caught. They were all small, mostly Blue Stripe Snapper. Can't wait for the fish tacos! They were very friendly and helpful. Everyone on the boat caught fish and everyone had fun. Keep up the great work, guys. We'll be back!
