Very comfy bed and nice room. The view is very nice and there is a lovely balcony with patio furniture to relax at. There is also a nice walking/jogging/bike trail that goes around the inlet and ends at a very nice park. Breakfast was good and filling--just basic foods. The bathroom is en-suite which is a perk. Towels and shower were good.

Room Tip: The Spa suite has its own entrance. We were in the imperial suite and it was a little weird to walk through the main area every time we came in and out. The imperial suite is on the 2nd floor though, so the view is a little nicer.

We stayed at the Beach Retreat for two nights in mid-April and absolutely LOVED it there. The bed was one of the most amazing I have ever slept on, the room was spacious and meticulously neat and clean, with a sauna inside, large shower, and personal hot tub right outside our door. A spectacular view while eating our delicious breakfast made by Nick rounded everything off to a perfect 10. Truly, an outstanding B&B that we will be visiting again and again!

Nick and Lise do their utmost to make you feel at home in this two storied b and b overlooking the calm waters of Port Moody, a boating and kayaking mecca. Nick's excellent breakfasts, soft jazz music and great balcony are great. Not sure about the King size bed which must be about four people wide but the room was ! Fridge in the bathroom wouldn't be allowed in Australia. This is well away from any shops or pub. 10 minutes to Newport village. They are a helpful knowledgable couple who have been doing this for 6 years. A grand piano awaits any musician who wishes to play! They processed our travel card without hassle. Treated us with a taste of barbecued ribs and introduced us to their other visitors. Even seals live nearby!

Room Tip: Lower room level room has spa and lawned area on the edge of the water. Upper room has no kitchenette, a large balcony and the extra joy of maybe meeting other guests who have to come upstairs for the dining area.

We were visiting a daughter and her family in Port Moody for a month and this local B&B fitted the bill. We couldn't have chosen a more perfect place - from the wonderful warm hospitality of our hosts Nick and Lise to the breath taking views of the Burrard Inlet through the picture window of our Imperial Suite and also from our private deck . We had the use of a wonderfully large living room and dining area. Attention to detail with all conveniences included plush dressing gowns and slippers, binoculars, telescope, a small fridge and the most comfortable king size bed ever. It did take us nearly an hour to visit another son in downtown Vancouver but it was a straightforward drive. Wildlife sightings included a bear crossing the road and a seal basking on the dock. We certainly hope to return to this little gem of a B&B.

Stayed for nine days during the Winter Olympics. Our hosts, Nick and Lise, made the whole experience unforgettable with invaluable advice for getting around Vancouver and tailoring our breakfast schedule so that we could leave at the times convenient to us to get to the events. The breakfasts were plentiful with eggs, bacon, ham, yogurt, homemade muffins and turnovers, and fresh fruit daily. When we had an early departure, a bag of food "for the bus" would be awaiting us at the front door as we left. The bedroom was spacious, leaving us with plenty of room to spread out in spite of the largest king size bed that we've slept in. It was delightful to wake up to a view of Burrard Inlet out our picture window. The bathroom was large as well. We've had some hotel rooms in New York City just as large. While we didn't use public transportation, commuter rail is available just a few minutes drive away. Downtown Vancouver is about a 30 minute drive away. We would highly recommend this B & B for anyone wanting to stay in the Vancouver area.
