Second visit in two years. Had just flown and driven in; exhausted. Got there before 7; they were very accommodating. Food was good, but very limited menu. Dinner choices written on blackboard. Great wine collection . Ask to go down to cellar to survey wines. Had 1998 barbaresco. Only problem: three hours!!!!!
This place is unbelievably casual -- almost like a deli!!! Fabulous wine collection -- almost rivals Bovio's collection but chaotic. There is no wine list.

Casual type place with a very good wine cellar, good portions, and overall solid food. If you're looking for something simple this is the place.

Plus, they have a great balcony you can sit on, and watch the town go by. Or, you can just stop in for a glass of wine by the cheese bar.

I had a glass of the Silvio Grasso Nebbiolo, which was a better pour than I received at most other places. My wife had the Arneis, which she really liked as well.

Excellent kitchen with delicious antipasti, hard to make your choice.
Main dishes were also specialties, with different choices every day.
Must visit them several times to have the same dish.
Being in the hart of Piemonte region they have extremely long wine list which requires local support for selection. You can have very nice Barolo for a reasonable price, don't miss it.
Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere, relaxed people all around us, this was really a right choice for late lunch, or dinner.
Definitely it is a place that deserves to be visited!

Both the starters and the mains were great - we had excellent quality battuta served simply with a bit of olive oil and a beef tongue with spicy sauce, then shrimp ravioli and pancia al forno. Quick and effective service and great atmosphere. Highly recommended

wines. And of course: truffle.
