We stayed 5 nights during harvest. For Barolo wine enthusiasts like us, staying in the midst of the Cerequio vineyard - in the Cerequio suite! - was terrific. Our suite was quite large and well-appointed; the balcony afforded great views. The small staff is extraordinarily friendly and helpful...the best ever. La Morra village itself is a bit of a walk - up a steep hill - and taxis are difficult, so best to have a rental car.
The hotel has a small restaurant. Breakfast was great. The dinner menu is very limited, but the food is good and the wine list is very extensive and fairly priced. We ate there several evenings after exhausting days of multi-winery visits in the area. Underneath the hotel is a terrific modern wine trasting room...Roberto conducted a very informative tasting of the wines of Michele Chiarlo.
Weather was too cold to try the pool during our visit, but it looked nice. Wi-fi is free, although the reception was a little spotty in our room. Assure that you have good directions when driving here, as the road can be tricky to find the first time.
