My husband and I are at this restaurant by chance. We had a reservation somewhere else but, due to some misunderstanding , our first choice did not keep a table for us. We passed by Martini restaurant and to be honest did not find the interior very welcoming. It is beautiful, everything is white, chairs, walls, linen. It does look good but a little too sterile, almost intimidating.
We were too hungry to care, so we stepped in. And we are really happy we did.
We expected it to be pricey (it wasn't) and we expected to find the usual Italian food sold pretty much everywhere else. However, the food here is Mediterranean and contemporary. It is delicious , beautifully cooked and well presented.
All the pasta are home made and portions are fairly big. My husband had a perfectly cooked steak and I ate pumpkin ravioli. Both exquisite.
The service was impeccable. A single waitress was attending all the tables (it was full when we dined there), making all the drinks and taking orders. She was efficient, very friendly and even found time to create a cocktail just for us.
We will definitely return to Martini restaurant again.
