Dewar’s Inn is a true gem surrounded by beautiful gardens and lovely wooden decks. The staff is friendly and efficient because the cottage was spotless.

We stayed in “The Birdhouse” and it was lovely. The cottage was decorated throughout with ceramic birdhouses, bird wallpaper, bird shower curtain and even the dishes had a birdhouse pattern. To top it off each morning a robin serenaded us as the waves lapped the shoreline. Just a few feet from us Cormorants dove for fish, ducks paddled and a bullfrog croaked each evening. We were able to sit on our balcony catching a cool breeze and watch the freightliners go down the St Lawrence Seaway while we ate our meals or relaxed. The cool breeze was so nice we never used the A/C provided and were quite comfortable despite the extremely high temps. Breakfast is more than adequate. There are propane BBQ’s to avoid the heat of the kitchen.

A lot of thought obviously went into this complex and every effort has been made to please both the eye and the comfort of the guest. Thank you for a wonderful break from work and the city and I certainly hope to return very soon and often.

My husband and I spent a wonderful 5 day anniversary trip in one of their lovely cottages along the St. Lawrence. So restful - so peaceful. Everything about the place was well tended and immaculately clean. Home made muffins with their breakfast - yum. Top that off with a great management and staff that whose professionalism and thoughtfulness seemed to know no bounds and you can understand why we shall return.

Room Tip: each cottage slightly different - some have kitchen view of river..some have living room view, so as...

I am currently staying here at the moment. Was looking to find an affordable place to stay and the reviews are exactly as stated. Friendly staff, clean rooms, excellent utilities, and affordable price. Will definitely stay here again! Can't wait to see what it will look like in the summer. Paid $66\night.

I stayed at this Inn for 4 weeks a couple of years ago. I stayed in a beautiful large room on the eastern end of a cottage adjacent to the western end of the main inn building. I had my own kitchenette, television, etc. It was beautiful and very nice. The bed was large and comfortable and had a great sleep every night. The room was cleaned every day with fresh bed linen and towels. I would go fishing at the the front of the Inn on the St. Lawrewnce most evenings after dinner. The Inn provided a free continental breakfast every morning which was good. This area is very quiet and relaxing with no loud guests. The Inn hosts are excellent. It is very close to downtown Prescott and less than an hours drive from Ottawa. I would recommend this Inn to couples and families. I will be staying here whenever the opportunity presents itself in the future.

I have been here 3 times in the last 2 summers, my friends and I stay there when we scuba dive in the area usually on long weekends. Rooms are spotless, average sized and well laid out, our room had a fire place, a/c and a modern flat screen. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the also have cottages for rent also. There is a garden with lots of tables and chairs and a boardwalk overlooking the ST. Lawrence. which is spectacular at sunset. I plan on going back this summer and many summers to come.

We stopped here for one night en route to Montreal. This motel is located right on St.Lawrence river. They had a nice garden with a beautiful boardwalk along the river. We had an efficiency unit with a small well stocked kitchenette ,one double and one single bed. Everything was very clean and spotless. Coffee, tea, two granola bars, microwavable popcorn were provided in the room.In the morning there was a modest breakfast ( coffee, tea, muffins, bread, cereal ) in the breakfast room behind the office. All this for a very reasonable price.
One thing to note--they have zero noise tolerance and do not allow pets or children.
The downtown and Fort Wellington were a five minute drive away from the motel.

Simple rustic charm. Immaculate. Gorgeous views. God's country. Watch the ships navigate the river. This was not a lavish room...it was simple but clean, unsophisticated, but pleasant. Our room included microwave, fridge, dishes, silverware. One suggestion: bring your own hair dryer.

Room Tip: specify 2 beds or room with fireplace
