“Great location with friendliest staff on the planet!”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

I was at this hotel for about two and a half weeks as part of a graduate study abroad group and I don't think any other study abroad group from our university will have the same experience as ours. We were unique in the sense that we would take day trips to Rome as a class (an hour away by train) versus living in Rome, and that was awesome. It was a great juxtaposition living a beach town instead of residing around all of the tourism of Rome. It is a five minute walk from the beach.

The staff members always cleaned everything up very nicely and made conversations with us every time we passed by. It felt like home: I could even leave visible money laying around (I know because I did it unknowingly for two days) and not worry about theft.

It is also one of the few hotels in the area with its own private pier AND restaurant (Molo 21- which locals raved about and proclaimed as one of the most posh hotels in Santa Marinella). Kevin, who is not an Italy native, has really added some variety to the menu besides traditional Italian cuisine.

Some people on TripAdvisor have complained about wi-fi limited to the lobby, but with all of the scenery and beauty, why would you still be glued to a screen?! I wouldn't trade my experience at Le Najadi for anything in the world. Roberto from the restaurant is fantastic and so is Carlos from the front desk! I'll always remember all of the staff from this awesome place. :) <3

Room Tip: I was in room 15 and I had a view of the Mediterranean Sea. Any room on the same wall will have it a...

After seeing some great reviews we decided to book at this hotel after a few weeks of travelling through Italy. On arrival, the greeting was less than welcoming. The rooms were very old and shabby with no tea/coffee facilities; you could not even get a bottle of water in the hotel. The only saving grace was the sea view that we woke up to each morning.

This hotel has the best decks, hands down! Right over the water with interesting little niches where you can swim. I don't recommend going into the enclosed ponds, though.
It also has a wonderful restaurant. The chef takes great care over every dish. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Breakfast is a beautiful experience when you sit outside at the covered patio. Looking out over the ocean while you enjoy a satisfying continental breakfast is not to be missed! Dinner at dusk is another experience you will enjoy when you eat outside.
The rooms are cooled by sea breezes and the cross-breeze coming up the marble staircase. I recommend room 8 or any room on that side.
Not every room is exactly the same, but they have refrigerators and some have televisions.
Location is great -- you have the beach about a 10-15 minute walk away. Rome is a bit less than an hour by train. Civitavecchia is 10 minutes away by train and has good shopping and food.
Up the road from the beach is Monkey's Pub (good variety of food and drink), the train station, and knick-knack shops. Pizzerias abound and the hotel is situated between 2 grocery stores.
There is Wi-Fi in the lobby, but you have to stay in the lobby to use it.
If you are going to spend a lot of time outside, this is the best hotel!

Room Tip: Rooms where the windows face south or the water are very good because you get the best breezes. Thi...

We chose this hotel because of all the glowing reviews. Honestly, my husband and I are not picky and have traveled the world, but this hotel did not meet at all our expectation based on these reviews. Our stay started with being told that we were supposed to have arrived the night before, and they had given our room away. We had a copy of our reservation to prove we actually had arrived on the correct day. The staff didn't have a copy, because they still manage bookings with a pen and paper (that's totally fine, but then don't get your dates mixed up). Anyway, they offered to solve this by giving us a seaview room at a discount. We were told that this was an extra good value because the room had been recently renovated.
When we arrived in our room, we were thought there had been a mix up again...because we couldn't find anything upgraded about it. The paint was peeling on the ceiling and there were literally scuff marks all over the walls, unfinished plaster work around the door, rusting curtain rails etc. The bathroom looked semi-new, albeit with a soap scummy plastic shower curtain, and we found out later that the bathroom was indeed the upgrade they were referring to. Also, it was just depressing. The floors were marble and the walls were gray...I felt like I was sleeping in a museum hall without any artwork, or just a big gray box. There was nothing welcoming about the room, not even a fake houseplant. It had almost a hostel feel to it. The bed was also very very firm, and there was no air-conditioning. The room did have a mini-fridge though, which was a definite plus.
Breakfast was also very limited. Other reviews talked about yogurt and cereal, but I guess they've since stopped with that. Breakfast consisted of bread/pastries, butter and jam. That's it. The afternoon of our first day we went out and found a supermarket for extra breakfast food. There is a very nice restaurant located under the hotel on the water. The view is fantastic. The food however is good quality, but over-priced. You will not get away with a filling dinner for two average sized people for less than EUR 70 unless you order pizza. The wine is cheap though and really tasty. It's just that the fancyness of the restaurant didn't seem to match the style of hotel.
Also for the beach chairs, you NEED to book via the hotel's own website (the same website that messed up our reservation) to use them for free. Otherwise you'll need to pay EUR 30 a DAY to use them.
The service was great though! One night, we were delayed in Rome and afraid we wouldn't make it back in time (they lock the door at 23:30, you can take a key with you if you know you'll be our later) so we called and the receptionist stayed up until we arrived back around 00:30!

All in all, an okay experience. We wouldn't stay here again, though.

I had the opportunity to stay at this timeless hotel as part of a University Study Abroad program. The hotel is quaintly located on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea. The views are indescribable and the staff are so kind and helpful. They were all willing to help us if we had questions and gave us helpful information about the town. The rooms were always clean and the food was fantastic! The chef, Kevin, made the most amazing dishes. I love sea food and his menu gives excellent options. I loved every moment while I stayed there! It's great for a group, couple or family. Definitely recommend this hotel highly!

If you are going to Santa Marinella, or one of the cities nearby, there should be no hesitation about choosing this hotel. You will get a good price, the most friendly and service minded staff I have ever experienced, a gorgeous ocean view and nice Italian rooms.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, while we where shooting scenes for a Norwegian reality tv show. During our stay the staff helped us enormously, whether we needed extra coffee to bring with us, snorkeling gear or whatever. Before we arrived Eleonora gave us a lot of information regarding activities in Santa Marinella, and during our stay Federica went over the top to help us with absolutely everything. In all, everyone we met at the hotel made our stay memorable and really joyful. This means that you will get the perfect accomodation at Hotel Le Najadi.

Other important things to mention are free wifi in the lobby, nice housekeeping every day, an excellent location for the hotels restaurant Molo 21 by the ocean shore and it was really easy to find the hotel driving from the airport. The hotel is located within walking distance to almost everything.

It's easy. Just choose this hotel. And you're gonna love it!

We had a really wonderful stay at Hotel le Najadi this September. This has been our second visit and we really love the place. travelling from the US, we noticed the hotel in advance that we needed an early check in and that was easily provided. Our room was ready for us at 10 am ! much appreciated, thank you staff ! after we had a nice rest, we went down the swimming area and had a great relaxing couple of hours lounging in the sun. Drinks are available and service is nice and fast. Our room had a magnificient view of the mediterranean sea and was clean and well equipped. Would go back in a second ! Transfer to the port of Civitavecchia was a super easy connection from Hotel le Najadi : a cab drove us there and the charge was really reasonable... and it dropped us off right below our ship rather than at the entrance of the port like if you had to arrive with public transportation. Very good breakfast was provided, included in the rate, with capuccinos made fresh and wonderful italian croissants, plus lots of different cereals, yogurts, cakes...continental breakfast that is, but more than enough for a nice start. A big thank you to all the staff especially Federica !

Room Tip: get a seaview room, it is totally worth it !
