It was joy to stay at the Hadrian Hotel in Wall. Recently refurbished rooms were very nice - tasteful and practical with everything we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food - dinner, breakfast and packed lunch were absolutely delicious. Would not hesitate to recommend the Hadrian Hotel in Wall

Stayed here about 4 years ago and it was in need of work came back for a family wedding and the new owners have done an amazing job. Everywhere clean. The bedroom and bathroom were done to a high standard. The only niggle is that the television is quite small and mounted high on the wall but that is the only a little niggle. Loved the place and will definitely be back.

The hotel has clearly just been done up to a very high standard. You can smell the paint - in a good way. The food was out of this world. Lovely Lamb two ways - and stylishly presented. Beer from associated pub in Twice Brewed equally special. Friendly honest staff. Good packed lunch and breakfast. An easy 5 stars despite building works at the back waking me up. Top place.

For a start the AD122 Hadrian's wall bus route stops right outside! Excellent as the road can be very busy and we didn't want to walk that stretch.

We found a warm welcome and a hotel being refurbished upstairs and still smelling very fresh. Our room was beautiful, modern yet sympathetic to the building. It was exceptionally clean and had a big bed and en suite. We overlooked the road but the traffic did not bother us at all and we slept very well.

Geared towards hikers in that you can order a packed lunch for the next day and there is a tray for mucky boots in the room. Also the restaurant and bar downstairs are excellent!

We stayed here for one night during our Hadrians Wall walk. The staff were welcoming, the room nicely decorated with great en suite facilities, and very comfortable bed. We were in a room overlooking the road, but we were not disturbed at all by traffic noise, as it is a very quiet village. We ate in the on site restaurant, and the steak pie was amazing! Just the thing after a hard days walk! The breakfast was very good too, with plenty of choice. Would definitely recommend
