Very good food in a lovely old pub and restaurant. Great sunny garden with car park and friendly staff.

We have been here a few times and it gets better every time, one of the best pies I have eaten and my wife's fish and chips were excellent, bit of a gem.

My husband and I took our three children for lunch and had a super friendly welcome. The menu was super and all home cooked, although they didn't have a children's menu they were very happy to do smaller portions, all fabulous. Best pub lunch for a long while, would highly recommend.

Called in on spec for lunch and received a lovely welcome from the landlady. Good lunch menu. Very attractive traditional pub with 3 different areas to dine in. We both had their gypsy burger which really was fantastic a real credit to the chef !
One small criticism the menu board was in one of the dining areas which was full and therefore we had to look over the shoulders of other diners to read. One kind gentleman got out of his chair so that we could read the fading writing. Us oldies sometimes have fading eyesight! Surely it would be possible to have at least one menu in each dining area?

However do not let that put you off visiting - it was a thoroughly enjoyable lunch.

Stopped for lunch yesterday, the first time we have been in for over 10 years: what a difference.

A great welcome to a friendly atmosphere with excellent food and ale.

We shall definitely call again.
