We sat for 3 hours and watched the world go by, the menu was a 3 course affair costing 10€ it was worth double .
The staff were good but it’s France you need to shout if required . We were recommended and yes well worth a visit for a good value experience basic but good quality I would happily go back

Great location, food, soup was very thin containing hardly any vegetables or meat. They ran out of Floc de Gascogne and vanilla ice cream. The Armagnac wdrank as a digestive was not good either for a bar in the middle of Armagnac. The bar interior looked grubby and untidy, in need of a makeover?

Great location and friendly service. One of my favourite places to go. The food is local cuisine with wine & bread.
The ambiance is great with lots local characters, worth a visit just check the soup for flies...

Not a gourmet meal but fantastic value for just €13. Soup was very tasty, and plenty of it. Second course, salad with a too small piece of very nice pate....would have preferred more pate; the salad was pretty poor. Mains we had braised ham, and daube; both copious and very good indeed, excellent chips and risotto accompaniment. Dessert was "pudding" (fait maison), transpired to be a large piece of bread and butter pudding well flavoured with armagnac, a very pleasant surprise! Really good rustic fare, in just the right environment. Second course a bit disappointing, but it highlit how good the others were.....and all for just €13, including a large carafe of decent red wine. They don't accept cards, but were OK with payment by cheque (French bank account), Service was ftiendly and nicely paced.

Always a pleasure to come here for lunch. But service and food has dipped a bit since Madame has left. She controlled things with an iron hand. The soup had some very unpleasant, un- peeled and definitely rotting carrot in it. The entree was iffy. I never like Brawn. The mains were excellent ( faux fillet or coq Au vin) the pudding, not special. However , the meal was very good value for money.
