“A Great Place Over a Beautiful Village ”
Reviewed 4 June 2014 via mobile

Very historic, very clean, and very comfortable. The owner and his wife are friendly and accommodating. Breakfast and dinner were sufficient. Very nice eating and looking over the terrace at the wonderful views of Onati. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

An historically interesting building on the best spot in a beautiful town surrounded by mountains. Add elegant interior, a great staff, good food, and you get this lovely place on earth. PS: The big rooms on the top floor (4th) have windows all along two sides of the room, and the view is just great.

This is a superb hotel.
The view when you exit to the terrace is amazing. The mountain to the right looks like the start of a paramount movie, only missing the 5 stars, which would be fitting for this property. The rooms were beautiful and views from windows fantastic.

I travelled with family members however my wife wasn't there which is a pity because I feel this is a really Romantic hotel. You could wake up in this hotel and not want to leave your room! I tried to sit at the window and read but the view was too nice so I just looked out! The stonework is beautiful and you can see that a lot of thought has gone into this hotel. (Unlike a lot of hotels in Spain, the remote control worked (small matter) which was great.) If you get good weather you can just sit out the back and enjoy the view. I travelled with 5 family members and all of us were of the opinion that this was a gorgeous hotel. We ate in the hotel on both nights and each night the food and wine were lovely.
I must say a great Eskerrik asko to Fernando, who looked after us brilliantly and explained the history of the tower. I really wish Fernando all the best with the hotel and hopefully someday I can return.

Beautifully restored building on a hill overlooking the town. Rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. Privately owned with a real pride in the place displayed by the staff. You won't be disappointed. I hope to return.

Very nice and comfortable. Staff is supper friendly. Torre Zumeltzegi is high quality with a very small town feel. I am staying for business but I will be back with my wife so we can enjoy this wonderful hotel. The surrounding views are amazing.

We stayed at the Torre Zumeltzegi in a bit of an special night, it was just before Christmas' eve and we were the only guests.
This hotel is literally one of the points that the tourism office points you to when you are in Oñati. It is one of the oldest buildings of the town and it is very impressive. Architecturally it is wonderful. The restoration process has maintained most of the original features of the building and the views from it are just breathtaking. The hotel itself is elegant and tastefully decorated, with everything. Good wifi, good bathroom, amenities, excellent bed, convenient furniture.
The staff of the place was just amazing to us, extremely helpful and nice, trying to make our lives the easiest possible and really kind. Being the only guests we got the best room and it was wonderful. We are really grateful.
The breakfast is great, and again the staff provides anything you may want, they are really nice.
To be alone in that tower with a storm outside was an experience, with the wind and the rain combined with the light of Oñati entering through the window. It was spooky, but it was amazing!

Excellent hotel. In a historic old building, completely rebuilt. Excellent views of Oñate city and mountains and valleys. You can choose the room offers, for Internet. Opened eight months ago, is the initiative of two brave men. . Spacious rooms, free wifi, tv, all restored. Personal attention very carefully. Exquisite cuisine. In Oñate aren't good restaurants, so diner at the exclusive hotel is a good choice. Parking.
