Nature Hunt Eco Camp, Kaziranga National Park
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 22 May 2014

We had a wonderful stay at Nature Hunt. Very helpful staff, well organised and excellent food (we are vegetarian). Besides organising all the safaris at Kaziranga they helped with transport arrangements and local sightseeing too. The children enjoyed the great natural outdoor feel of the property and while we enjoyed sitting back with a our cups of ginger tea.
My son's favourite toy elephant got left behind when we headed off to Shillong and it was delivered at Guwahati Airport - that's what I call service beyond the call of duty! Thanks Ronnie you made a little boy very happy to be reunited with his Elli. Look forward to doing a trek in Namdapha with you and your lovely gang.

Room Tip: The cottages are all very nice and cozy.

We stayed for 3 nights in the cottages and enjoyed our stay. The food (we had veg) was simple and delicious. We did 2 jeep safaris, 1 elephant safari and one brahmaputra boat ride - all were conveneiently arranged by the eco camp personnel. Only downside is the lack of back up electricity. They can easily have a generator to work during power cuts, considering that the only electrical facilities provided to the guests are 4 regular lights and 1 fan.

Dear Mam,

Thanks for your valuable comment. We were glad to host you and we are very happy that you like Kaziranga and our Camp very much. I understand your point regarding the power back up. We are very sorry for that. We have the power back up facility but during your stay the power cut happens very frequently and also some major problems had happened for 4 - 5 days. So power cut happened very badly at that particular time. But we take this problem seriously and we will improve our power back up system very soon.

Thanks & Regards,
Ronnie

Beautiful resort, nice huts in the middle of a tea field, intelligent Eco concept, friendly staff, tasty food. Trips to the national park (an amazing natural oasis BTW) can be booked on the spot) A+, highly recommended!

Firstly....Ronnie ! Sorry for the late review.....
We had the privilege to stay at the Camp from 22nd December'13 to 25th Dec 13.....We were two families with 3 kids...and I must admit that we had one of the best experiences at Nature-Hunt Eco Camp. The rooms were clean...toilets were also simple and clean...The food was served hot, tasty and fresh...and our kids did not have any digestion related problem whatsoever....We ll never forget the ethnic food served by the ever Courteous Ronnie ! ..... The location, ambiance of the camp...the behaviour of the staff was all very warm....If allowed to give a score upon 100, I would give 99/100 ..... the only negative exp....regarding the vehicle for safari, we had repeatedly request Souvik (Camp Manager) to arrange jeep with front facing seats for the kids but i wonder why he still brought a jeep having side facing seats... We had to arrange for the front facing jeep ourselves and there was no scarcity of front facing jeeps at the safari counter....But then, no trip is perfect ..... AND THEN, inspite of the rush, Ronnie managed to provide Elephant Safari to all of us.....Ronnie, it seems has the knack of going out of the way in looking after comfort of the guests....Sorry Ronnie for deducting 1 mark ....otherwise, you deserve 100/100....

We Stayed here for 2 nights on 18th and 19th April 2014.
We were two families with kids. Stayed in bigger cottage which can accommodate 6 people.
Room was very clean and perfectly blended with the nature.
Nature Hunt Eco Camp is at very good location and very peaceful.
Staffs are wonderful and very helpful.

It’s very close to Kazirnaga National Park.
We had wonderful time in Kaziranga. Must see place in India.

For lunch and dinner you have only two options, Veg Meal and Non Veg meal.
Though Meal price is bit high, but taste is very good. You get to taste Authentic Assamese Cuisine. Breakfast is included in Room rent but options are limited. Only Sandwich and Omelets were available.

I would recommend this place for family especially with small Kids.
We want to thank Hotel owner Ronik who is very nice person. He helped us in arranging Kaziranga Safari and as well as our further travel to Arunachal Pradesh.

I chose to stay here for a night in March, 2014. It is a small property with 3 cottages and a dorm kind of room that can accomodate upto 10. Rooms are constructed out of natural material with local design on elevated platform. The campus also have a garden where they have planted some tea plant sapling. By no means it should be assumed as a small tae garden. The property is located 4 km from Kohora junction, and hence 5km from forest booking office. Rooms are comfortable, fan cooled. Food is average. I would suggest you to have your meals at Maihong restaurant at Kohora, if you have a vehicle at your disposal. Service level is low. You need find a staff in case you need a cup of tea. Given my experience, I felt it a bit overpriced place. On the day we stayed, we were the only guests.

We travelled to Kaziranga at the beginning of the year and we were really pleased we had booked in this place... As we were four the manager gave us the family hut which was great and comfortable... As it was winter time, the staff provided us with hot buckets of water and made a bon-fire every night. We ate every meals there and the food was excellent, really healthy and well balanced, not as spicy as the bengali food and coming from Kolkata we really appreciated it...
There is a great little village behind the camp with tea plants and very friendly people. We met some beautiful people there.
Looking forward to come back there again with my wife.
It s a great place to relax and to enjoy the nature.
Thanks again to all the staff.
