My husband and I went to the lovely Barcelona, Spain on our anniversary. We were lucky enough to meet up with some friends who live there. They took us to this restaurant. It's far away from the tourist crowd, so we knew it was going to be good. We were the only Americans there. It was awesome!
The food....AMAZING! We ate calçots for the first time ever. Sadly we don't have them in America, but man were they good. It's roasted/grilled vegetable that looks like a giant green onion. You peel off the burnt outside and then dip it in this delicious sauce and eat up. It's very messy and VERY GOOD!
We also enjoyed the Spanish bread with tomato, garlic, and olive oil. Spain has the best bread by the way...even better than France!
The food here was just delicious and the experience was amazing too. The setting is beautiful. It's up in the hills out of the city.
