About ten of us adults and kids had a boxing day long walk round the pits and by the river. Really nice, great wildlife and very well kept.

Lovely area spoilt by the attraction of all dog owners! Those of you who do not like dogs then stay clear. Owners can't be asked to control their dogs, regardless of the signs say Keep On Lead! Get in your way, under your feet. So, if you have a dog, join the other hundreds there. If you don't have a dog, mind the poop. If you dislike dogs, STAY AWAY!

Followed two of the trail paths, lovely walks with lots of nature, birds, trees. Followed by a lovely cup of tea in the visitors centre.
