Dear Lorrie M,
Thank you for your recent stay with us. It is nice to know that our location and quiet environment was suitable to your needs. It is unfortunate that the poor cleanliness of the carpet and bathroom conditions were a let down during your stay. Please be assured that we will take the necessary actions to improve the quality of our hotel for your next stay and for future guests.
We hope you will consider staying with us again in the future and see the improvements made.
The bride and groom reserved seventy rooms and I think they were all taken by their guest.
The staff went above and beyond their duty to accommodate each of us present.
he room was spacious we had the king bed which was great.
the third floor was perfect and easy access.
Some of us arrived Friday through Sunday. I heard no one complain about any thing.
Stayed here one night as my daughter and I were visiting Emory University. Check in was quick, room was clean and well prepped. The beds were ok, not as comfortable as Hilton's as these felt a little springy. We ate breakfast in the lobby which was good, and had a late checkout. Our overall stay was good, location was decent.
Being a last minute trip to Atlanta, we allowed our GPS to guide us to this particular location. Our daughter prefers HI Express because of extremely good past experiences with the HI Express facilities in other areas.
This Express was within four minutes of the attraction that brought us to Atlanta. It was convenient in addition to being very clean and inviting. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were well appointed and very clean. Five stars would have been earned if it were quiet. Plumbing noise was a little much and the walls are not insulated very well for other sounds and noises.
The complementary breakfast was excellent, with something for almost anyone. Bacon, eggs, biscuits, gravy, toast, jellies, jams, yogurt, dry cereals, pancakes, a variety of juices, milk, coffee, and fruit among other things were offered.
Beds were very comfortable with your choice of firm or soft pillows. A frig, microwave, and single serve coffee was also available in the room.
This IS in a quiet part of Atlanta and seems to be quite secure and safe.
I stay in hotels at least 100 times a year...never have I been so disgusted! This room has not been properly cleaned for who knows how long...check-in was super slow, musky smell when entering room, floor need vacuumed, tears in furniture, TV needs replaced (terrible picture with lines running through it) then to top it off...at least twenty hairs embedded in the sheets, large brown stains on the pillows and sheets and visible dirt...Really, Holiday Inn? Your cleaning staff is obviously in a hurry...This is unacceptable...Thanks for moving us to another room...besides the awful smell again, we only had a broken mirror in the bathroom....
Thank you for taking the time to express your thoughts and concerns. It is unfortunate that this visit was a disappointment on many levels. I have sent you a private message to discuss further.
I have stayed at this Holiday Inn Express twice in the last 6 months. The first time I stayed (July 2013), I would have rated the hotel somewhere between a 4-5; clean, quiet, well managed, and decent breakfast. I stayed again in November 2013 and had a room in a different part of the hotel. Unfortunately, there is some sort of lumber yard next door and the sound of trucks backing up and loading in the lumber yard started around 7AM. I even had earplugs and I could still hear the trucks and the crashing sound of the wood in the trucks. The hotel was clean, a little eccentrically decorated, but overall comfortable. I rate this hotel a 3 combining my two experiences.
Thank you for taking the time to write your comments. We appreciate the positive remarks regarding our clean hotel. I am sorry to hear that your stay with us was not what you had expected and apologize for the inconvenience you experienced due to the noise challenges and room allocation. The appropriate management has been notified and these concerns will be addressed. We hope that you will give us another opportunity to serve you should your travels bring you back our way.
