While driving through the popular village of Brikhamstead, I saw a new Tea Room has opened, shall we say at the quieter end of the High Street. It has a large double frontage and is equipped to take small groups with its large selection of Fresh Teas and also accommodating for coffee drinkers too. The perfect venue for a meeting or small get together.

The menu is palatable with light nutrias meals for the hungry passer-by. Enough to satisfy one’s appetite
An array of fresh cakes and puddings (ask for an assortment for those who can’t make up their mind). Fixtures and Fittings to subvert you into its relaxing surroundings.
A pleasurable afternoon was spent here and I’m sure many more. In a word "delightful".

Berkhamsted is full of coffee bars, cafes and restaurants - so anything new is going to have to be good to survive and be successful.

The recently-opened House of High Tea is situated to the eastern end of the High Street. It certainly ticks all the boxes for service, ambiance and quality of food and drinks. It is reminiscent of a bygone era when people had more time and consequently were probably more social.

The scones and cakes were fresh and very appetising and there's a large selection of teas on offer. It is also very reasonably priced too. All in all, a very positive addition to life in Berkhamsted!

Enjoyed a great coffee and delicious (very generous) slice of coffee cake on a lazy Sunday morning. Lovely surroundings, very relaxing. Delighted to finally get to try this tea room, had been caught out by the fact that it is closed on Mon / Tues (or at least was in June/July 2014).
Looking for an excuse to try their full on afternoon tea. Mothers Day, sorted!
