We arrived early at The Old Mill for an early supper. The staff couldn't have been more disinterested that a couple of paying customers had just walked throught the door. I thought this style of poor service didnt exist any more. We were told that we could sit in the bar....then abruptly told we couldn't sit in a part of the bar as there was a private party arriving. Fair enough, but there is a way to talk to customers! After sitting very uncomfortably with a glass of wine thankfully we understood our main mistake was to walk through the door... can't comment on the food,.we didn't spare any more time and money on food, and went ot the Marchmont Arms..where we had fantastic service and lovely food.
