My wife and I recently stayed at Cloon River B&B, the host Paul and his wife are a lovely family. We booked the B&B at the last minute as a hotel had let us down and I am so glad that they did, the holiday was turned right around from the moment we arrived as we were welcomed by Sam their dog. The house has a relaxed and homey atmosphere. It is modern and stylish, and has a log fire in the sitting room boasting huge windows allowing for great views of the countryside. There is a lot of land to explore and a river nearby for fishing, Paul even lends you his rods! Our room had a huge king-sized bed and full private wet-room/ensuite Everything is tastefully finished. The breakfast was so tasty and Paul asks your order each morning. A menu is left in your room, along with chilled bottles of water and fresh towels. We would atay there again, much better than a hotel.

We had the pleasure of a recent stay in Cloon River B&B. Every aspect of that visit was perfect,. Paul was very welcoming and helpful. The accommodation was excellent and part of the experience is the situation . Rural and peaceful but within 20 minutes of the bustle of Westport, 45 minutes from Galway. Would we stay again - YES

Room Tip: We had the family room - 3 single beds - ample space - lovely bathroom

No need to repeat the virtues of this B&B in previous reviews, which we fully endorse. Near Ballinrobe, about 20 Km from Westport and 30 Km from Claremorris (which we were visiting for a wedding). Perfect for a break from city life

I can't recommend this beautiful, contemporary and spacious b and b enough. Off the road, its tranquil and calm atmosphere allow time to relax and take time out. Beautiful walks through ancient bogs and woods accessible by foot from the house and the warmesIt wood fire ever in cthe sitting room in the evening! Lovely home made scones on offer too and a fab breakfast. Well worth checking out if u can!

If in Mayo, you should stay in this modern beautiful B&B, resting on 53 acres with very competitive rates. It is very peaceful. The rooms are modern, beautifully decorated with very comfortable beds and a wet room.. The owners are very friendly and hospitable - nothing is too much trouble. I enjoyed the stay very much and wished it could have been longer than 3 nights

Room Tip: The double room with the 6 ft bed
