Stayed one night as part of a 4 day cycle tour of the area which we had organised independently.

Accomodaion spacious, really well presented and very comfortable. Guest wing is separate to familiy wing so you don't feel you are intruding. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Paul helped us check our biking route and had some very useful tips - also pumped our bikes etc
There are great cycling routes around the area - for all levels, and Cloon River is a great base to explore the whole area from whether by car or bike. So much to see and do - and a real gem for biking enthusiasts (check out he western lakes circuit).

Breakfast excellent and served with still warm from the oven homemade brown bread and scones.

It is about a mile from the nearest village so depending on how you want to spend your evenings you may need to organise transport - we were at the end of a long days cycling so were happy to spread out on the sofas watching TV once we had eaten ( in Partry on the way to Cloon River) but if you wanted to go further afield Paul would assist with travel arrangements.

It is a very beautiful and peaceful setting.

Would definately stay there again.

What a wonderful place to stay! It's very modern but set in the traditional Irish country. Paul and Fran were wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcome. It had a wonderful sitting room and spacious bedrooms. Thank you for such a pleasant experience. We highly recommend a stay here!

This was our base for 2 nights during Feile 2014. Paul and his family made us all so welcome, giving us advice on routes and travel times. The accommodation is spotless and modern and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Bedrooms are spacious and beds big and comfortable, all with en suite wet rooms. Food was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Very highly recommended.

This was our home base for 4 days...Paul and his family were phenomenal hosts. The accommodations are awesome. Everything is clean and new with charm. The property is amazing and the history is abundant. Paul gave us recommendations for our daily excursions. Every one of them was spot on. I can't say enough about Cloon River. We loved every moment.

Myself and my partner had the good fortune to come across Cloon River Guest House. We had a warm welcome and were offered tea and coffee after our journey in a lovey lounge room with the fire lit. Our room was pure luxury with great attention to detail. a very spacious and comfy bed, plenty of hot water from a powerful shower. Our host was a mind of local information and very helpful with thing to do locally. Our breakfast the next morning was freshly prepared and cooked with local produce and the freshly made bread and scones were a real treat. All I can say is if you want to spoil yourself for a few days this guest house knows how to do it and at a reasonable price.

Room Tip: All rooms good.

I arrived late and was directed to a great pub nearby for some food and received home baked buns and tea on my return, breakfast was excellent. Superbly friendly extremely nice accommodation with free wifi throughout and is thoroughly recommended for business or pleasure.

Room Tip: All rooms quiet no passing traffic first class bathrooms with a great shower.

This is one of the most beautiful places I've stayed and I'm talking about the area and the guest house!
Stayed for a night on route to galway, the family were superb, very welcoming and accommodating nothing was to much.
The rooms were comfy, the silence great and to wake up and step into a beautiful ensuite bathroom is as good as it gets, then have a scrumptious well made breakfast with lovely home made bread, hmmmm
My little daughter had great fun playing with Paul's two daughters and they were so accepting and friendly.
Just the one compliant, the dog, I want him and I'm planning on dog napping him, the dog sam is just a bundle of joy and if he doesn't make you laugh nothing will, when your three year old wakes up and says "daddy lets get ready and go get sambo" you know he's a cracker, his card is marked and I'm coming for him.
As soon as I saw the place I said to myself that I want to come back in the depth of winter and just have a few beers in the local and then come back and sit in the garden, all snuggled up with a mulled wine and just contemplate how good life can be, surrounded by natural beauty and a lovely adopted family :)
