This is an important place in the small village of Lanark in Ontario. The only eatery has recently changed hands and the decor is simple but nice, and the servers are local, friendly, and most people seem to know one another. The food portions are generous, homemade, and fresh. Always leave room for their delicious desserts, especially their fantastic butter tarts.
I like breakfast here...and lunch...and dinner. Many nights they have specials, one of which is Tuesday night fish and chips (good!) and the other is the Sunday night turkey dinner. Every Sunday they cook a big bird, and the gravy is great.
Fresh, friendly, clean, and local!

Out for a drive in Lanark County on the weekend and went to the Landing for breakfast. We all ordered different breakfast plates -- all the food was great -- eggs cooked perfectly -- DELICIOUS Lanark maple syrup for the pancakes.

Really warm, small-town service too. Great place -- will be back for sure!

Great value and service. Nothing fancy. Just good food, and lots of it. Daily specials are always a good deal.

I find the Landing a great, small town restaurant. The food is always good- turkey sandwiches are made from a roasted turkey, not from sodium filled cold meats;if you're gluten-free as I am, the staff goes out of their way with suggestions; the prices are fair; and the steak special is very good. It's not fancy that's true, but it's homey. The big concern I have is with the acoustics. It's very hard to hear each other if the place is full. I wonder if it's possible to put up acoustic tile or find some other way to deaden the noise? Also, there's a way in for wheelchairs. The staff are pleasant and the cook is great.

Good food and a very helpful, delightful waitress. Simple restaurant but my beef stir fry was the best I have ever had and the Seafood dinner was enjoyed thoroughly by my husband. No tablecloths, not fancy but worth a visit.
