“Loved it!”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

I stayed at this hotel last month for 8 nights during an English immersion volunteer program. I loved my stay here. The rooms were a great size and the beds were comfortable. The food was fantastic and so was the wine! The hotel is very close to the village so it was easy to get to each day. It is in a quiet location and very near to lots of caminos to wander or run along. The surrounding houses have such beautiful gardens to admire. The towns folk are so welcoming. I loved my time in La Alberca and Dona Teresa. I would definitely return to stay here.

I stayed here as part of an English immersion volunteer program and this hotel has got to be one of the nicest ones I have stayed in for a while.
I arrived, checked in and was in my room promptly.
The food in the restaurant was sublime and the service was both efficient and charming. I was delighted by the variety of foods that were available to us and have no hesitation in recommending the chef.
The hotel itself was a 2 or three minute walk to the village which can be described as quaint and stunning. The architecture itself is astounding to look at.
The room I had been booked into had two single beds and patio doors which led to a small garden. Gorgeous in itself and a quiet spot to have a drink from the mini bar.
There was a terrace for guests to sit outside which I did several times.
The whole place was clean and the facilities were great.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the front of the hotel. These have tiled terraces and look out to the back of the...

Hi there,

We stayed for one day in this hotel for one night and it was the worst hotel ever. The air conditioned was broken and it was doing a lot of noise and they changed our room. Then we eat two soups in the restaurant and it cost 26 euros. The receptionist didn t know when they serve breakfast and she was speakig with her boyfriend for almost free hours without attending te clients. Bad service in general

I spent a few days in La Alberca at this hotel: I highly recommend it for a variety of reasons. It is an older but beautiful building with warmth and character. Rooms are charming, and bathrooms have all been recently updated. My room had French doors that opened to look out over the town of La Alberca. The reception area is very friendly and helpful, and will assist you to make plans to visit Salamanca or other area attractions. There is a sitting area with wood-burning fireplace in the front of the hotel to the right as you enter, opposite the bar/dining area to the left of the entrance hallway. Both areas display collections of beautiful Albercan embroidered work as well as sculptures and antiques. Breakfast and dinner (I opted out of the lunch time meal, since breakfast was quite plentiful and dinner was, too.) were served by attentive waiters. Portions were very generous servings of local cuisine. The feeling of this hotel transports the guests back in time, and the town itself will add to the feeling. The property reflects the stone architecture of the medieval town.

Room Tip: There is no swimming pool or fitness center at this property.

The Doña Teresa hotel is very well located in the Alberca. Easy access to the main road and at a easy walking distance to the centre of the village. Although there is carpark available you will be best parking in the main street, as the entrance is narrow and bended and your car body paint might suffer.
The service is very good, rooms have a fairly nice size and although the furniture is outdated the mattress is very good and comfortable ensuring a good rest after an enjoyable long day walking the fantastic surroundings.
Don't forget to by some Iberian Ham at Eusebio´s shop or main factory.

Close to the heart of the medieval town of La Alberca, Dona Teresa Hotel is a charming hotel kept clean and tidy. The staff is outstanding and will do everything they can to make you comfortable and happy. Not all speak fluent English, but those who don't are familiar with using Google Translate at the computer at the receptionist's desk. This hotel is owned by the same person who owns La Catedral Tapas Bar in the town's Plaza Mayor, as well as the Abadia D Los Templarios Hotel a short distance away. My room was quite spacious, although not all are. Mine had a balcony looking out to the street and houses beyond. A refrigerator bar is kept stocked for you. Laundry service is available. The restaurant serves very good meals. A bar in the restaurant is available, Your room will have television but there are also two televisions in the lobby and restaurant areas. If I am able to rerun to La Alberca, I will stay at the Dona Teresa again. Wi Fi worked in my room as well as in the restaurant and lobby. All of the beds' coverlets in both hotels are hand appliqued with folk art figures and are quite lovely.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms open into a small garden area. Be aware that those people staying in rooms above...

Great location and a 2 minutes walk into the heart of this small town. Hotel itself is comfortably decorated has a nice public area. Hotel bar and restaurant are very good. Rooms are a good size and are very comfortable. The facility and rooms were clean and secure. It is good this hotel has a restaurant, as in March there were few restaurants in town that were open in the evening. This is a great hotel and town to stay in for relaxation. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

Room Tip: All rooms appear to be good. Some do not have a balcony, others have a balcony.
