Our family of four spent one night at Gerofotis on the way from Athens to Patra. Although the place took some finding, it was well worth the trek and the moments of panic when we thought we were just lost on a goat track on a way to nowhere. The room was beautifully done, rustic and cosy, but with a great and clean kitchen and bathroom. We had two separate sleeping areas for the adults and the kids, which was essential! The view was spectacular, with a terrace just outside our room looking out over the sea. I wished we could have stayed longer to appreciate it. Our hosts were incredibly warm and accommodating, making us a late lunch on arrival and providing an incredibly delicious breakfast. Eleni let us sample her intensely delicious homemade Greek spoon sweets and was wonderful with the kids, who took a worrying interest in all the knick-knacks in the breakfast room. Highly recommended as a place to stay, and worth appreciating for a longer time than the swift stopover we had. A big thanks to our hosts.

We spend there 3 magical days, the room Eleni was marvelus with great atmosphere and the best private balkony we ever had with an astonishing view. The owner had always the best tips for the area and the sights and he also proposed us places to visit next to our trip which was realy great. The area by itshelf even not well known was a discovery and probably the most beautifull we visited. The Beaches are close 10 to 20 minutes and you can chose between a lot of them.
The breakfast is with local products (many of them organic). We even Ask for a dinner (it is under request) and it was the best we had in the area in great price and all organic (mouzaka from the owners garden all organic, Greek salad, and vegetables pie). So it is the only such place in the area especially if you have kids or if you are pregnant like me and you have to be carefull with what you eat. In few words a unique exierience!!!

My wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights in June 2012. The pluses: beautiful place, beautiful view, great breakfast, screens on all the windows so no mosquitoes, wonderful porch, nice homey local restaurant in the town up the hill for dinner, and great helpful hosts. The minuses: You have to have a car to reach it since it is up the hill quite a way from the main road near the Gulf. There are a number of turns in the road before you get there so go in daylight the first time you make the trip so you don't get lost.

Had a truly nice stay and definitely would recommend the place for anyone who is looking to experiencing some real welcoming Greek hospitality. Customer service went far beyond our expectations and if we had to pass by the area again we definitely would stay over again.

The house is clean and nicely decorated throughout with a lot of original old features, furnitures and decorations that make up a very special atmosphere. The breakfast was nice, we were offered local organic food, really loved it. As for the location, the house is based in a lovely mountainous village surrounded by gorgeous views. A great selection of beaches is just a short drive down the hill, whereas Aigio town offers you a good shopping and a number of restaurants, cafes and bars.

The most I liked in there was the waking up in the morning - except for the birds and grasshoppers there is no other noises around giving you an absolute tranquillity, moreover, the views out of the windows are simply breathtaking.

Also, the house has got a lovely furnished outdoor area - a perfect spot for a glass of local drink or a romantic dinner as we had arranged one in our balcony. The second night we were advised to visit a local taverna which is about 10 minutes walk in the very next village, the dinner was absolutely delicious - definitely worth visiting if you after to try some real Greek food.

All in all, the stay was fantastic and the place ticks all my boxes

We were there in March to have a short break We live on Corfu and are looking for a base to explore more of Greece. We can say that we very much enjoyed our stay as we we made very welcome. Having an open fire in out room was very swelcome as the weather was rainy and not very warm.

Room Tip: Gound floor as we had our dog with us the room also had an open fire
