“VERY COMFORTABLE BASE FOR EXPLORING THE MANI”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

Other reviewers have spoken with wisdom - this is a very comfortable place to stay with most attentive service. To avoid repetition, I will add : Well worth having dinner here, as we did 2 nights running. We have eaten in many average tavernas so thought we would try the local fare here, and avoid a hit or miss in Areopoli. The food was excellent and the service delightful. Breakfast is outstanding and even too generous. Would definitely stay again next time in Pelops.
Difficult to find - make sure you research position before arriving. It is not in the Main Street ! but rather hidden behind the bus station, up a small local road. Worth the trek, but possibly not worth driving or walking into town for dinner, especially if you're a drinker.
Annie, the charming english speaking front of house girl, even helped me wrap a wedding gift for friends.
She was very helpful and attentive, as were all - a family run business, I think.

My wife and I traveled to Aereopolis and the Mani last weekend. The hotel was clean and magnificently fitted out. Each of the rooms was unique with different furniture our suite was a beautiful loft with two balconies, and a hot tub in the bedroom. The hotel is walking distance from charming cafes and restaurants (walking distance = about .75 kilometers.

Annie the day (and sometimes night) manager couldn't do enough for us. She literally doted on us. Despite the first class furnishings they were VERY pet friendly. Not sure about the restaurant. -we didn't eat there instead preferring to go to town but they make a few dishes bespoke for what the guest likes.

Room Tip: Ask for the back room on the second floor. Only a small climb and very charming.

Picturesque location with beautiful rooms. The swimming pool is great for a refreshing dip after a day of trotting around Areopoli. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. Don't miss out on the traditional meal - it's absolutely delicious!

We arrived in rain and cold at the end of December. The welcome we received was warm and welcoming. This was our second visit, and we were not disappointed. Fantastic breakfasts, great service - and our own fire lit for us each night in our stone built 'little house' - what more could you ask for?? We will definitely go back again.

It is a hotel that you feel you are home but of course on holidays due to the perfect service and care of the owners that they have showed to me from the first moment....
In addition that the room was large with very comfortable bed with a tradional design....
Waaa... do not miss their breakfast or tradional food....
This is not a hotel... this is a castle. .

Great rooms with touches of luxury and a friendly welcome from the owners. The views across the countryside to the sea are picturesque and the surroundings peaceful as the hotel is set a short walk from the town. The breakfasts are special with homemade local delicacies. Areopolis is a pretty place for a few days stay with good tavernas and a laid back atmosphere. The Diros Caves and the fishing village of Yerolimenas are close by and well worth vists

It's a family owned and run traditional guest house. Any reference to it as a "boutique hotel" is rather far from reality. The reason is one: it can not be called an hotel since it doesn't really have professional staff and services. You will enjoy the experience though and have a very good time, if you know what you expect.
Large rooms, bathrobes, sleepers, swimming pool (not always clean).
Some things may nee better maintenance but the place is kept impressively clean.
Breakfast is tasty but bees are an annoyance. You may have breakfast until lat (ie 12:30) !
WiFi is available in parts of the place (not inside the rooms), and speed is deadly slow at pick hours (ie breakfast time and evening).
You will be hosted by a very friendly family that is sharing the effort among them.
The place is nice and well located to serve as the center of your trips around.
Taking into account the lack of professional services and the condition of the place, I would say that it is rather overpriced.
Still, I would choose it again if I would be traveling there again.
Enjoy.
