Whilst lamenting the disappearance of the traditional dairy (heavy milk-churns delivered daily by local farmers) the ensuing restaurant has become our favourite place for a special meal within walking distance from home. The menu is imaginative and seasonal, the cooking is really good and the presentation is perfect. Service is immaculate. The bread served with salad starters is delicious and considerable restraint is needed so as to leave space for what is to follow. Sitting at small outside tables for an apéritif and watching the world go by is fun, too.
