We read the reviews and were impressed. We booked a triple room which accommodated myself, my wife and our son. We had two rooms interconnected which was an excellent arrangement and safe. Although this was on the ground floor, the two balconies had a slightly elevated view and you could see the sea to the left and a mountain directly in front. This was a very peaceful place and run by the nicest of people. The Kokalakis family are very warm, welcoming people who clearly love children and appreciate all that comes with them. During our 10 day stay, it was a regular occurrence that our son was provided with a huge packet of crisps or an ice cream for which no payment was sought. This kindness was also extended to the adults for the odd beer or two here and there. The situation of the hotel is ideal, located directly over the road from the beach where you can also find numerous supermarkets and the local bus stop. There is a variety of bars and restaurants all within a short stroll offering a variety of cuisine, all of which is generally pretty good at sensible prices. These restaurants and bars offer an excellent vista and to watch the sun go down on an extremely pretty bay is a treat. Cocktails are cheap and the chicken souvlaki is to die for wherever you may dine. We went high season but found the resort to be quiet, no doubt as a consequence of the introduction of a large all inclusive hotel nearby. This has clearly affected local businesses and is a great shame as the local people try very hard and are generally to be considered very high up in the hospitality industry. The hotel itself is extremely clean and the swimming pool and surrounding area are excellent. The rooms are typically Greek but sufficient for your needs. If you are holidaying in Greece or her Islands then you do spend a great deal of time outdoors afterall ! Congratulations to the Kokalakis family who are doing an excellent job and we wish them all the very best for this season. We have no doubt of our return to this excellent, warm place to stay which is very much home from home without all the modern amenities us Brits are used to. One good suggestion if travelling with children, you should take a portable DVD player as Greek TV does not pacify the younger generation. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
