“Fantastic Stay”
Reviewed 9 April 2012

We stayed at Oakley hall hotel over the Easter break for our wedding anniversary on the Saturday night on the winter warmer offer, and we just had to say what a fantastic stay we had, very Impressive rooms & amazing food.

On arrival we were really pleased with the lovely grounds & overall look of the hotel. A friendly welcome at reception for our check in. We stayed in a courtyard room which you drive round to and park right outside your room which we found great... No hastle carrying your luggage around with you!
The room was newly refurbished, modern, so clean, huge bed, lovely linen... so soft. We had a bottle of champagne waiting for us. Some great touched... Chocolates on the bed with a printout of the weather forecast for the area , orange flavoured shortbread biscuits..very yummy! a small milk in the fridge & bottles of COLD water & fruit bowl. Excellent hairdryer (Nicky Clarke)
Bathroom is  of high standard; under floor heating, sound system speaker connected to the tv which we've never come across before!

We had an amazing 5 course tasting dinner which was part of our offer. There is a set menu but the staff are very attentive & can meet your dietary needs so if there is something you don't like they can offer you alternatives.
My husband was very apprehensive of the tasting menu that he would not be full by the end!!! but we were both blown away with the quality of the food & could not fault it.

Breakfast was a little disappointing for my husband he was looking forward to a great full English breakfast but the food was lacking slightly & no baked beans. 4 out of 5!!

We look forward to visiting Oakley hall hotel very soon & can imagine its beautiful in the summer as they have impressive grounds to walk around & a lovely terrace to sit out on. Can't wait!

Stayed over the Easter weekend and found the overall expirience excellent. Had an Executive Courtyard room which was big and very comfortable. Very clean and quiet and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. One of the best places I have ever stayed and I have stayed in many B&B's and hotels througout the world, but the overall expirience of staying at Oakley hall was probably the best I have. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend this hotel if you are after a romantic weekend away or just want a short break.

Room Tip: I would go for the Executive courtyard room as extra space was certainly worth the additional cost

We have just returned from our second visit to Oakley Hall Hotel and were just as impressed as we were with our first visit.. The hotel kindly upgraded us and we were given "The Cottage" - a three bedroomed house which sits in the hotel grounds. It was just as luxurious and comfortable as the room we had on our first stay, with all the wonderful extras which sets Oakley Hall apart. We were on the "Winter Warmer" promotion which included a 6 course taster menu dinner and breakfast. The food was as excellent as we remembered from our last visit and the staff courteous and attentive, despite the fact that there was a big charity funtion in the hotel that evening. The German restaurant Manageress is a credit to the hotel, and her professionalism and attention to detail are second to none. We would highly recommend this hotel and can't wait for our next visit!

Room Tip: You dcon't need a tip to choose a good room - they are all excellent!

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our second anniversary and her birthday and enjoyed a wonderful weekend. On check in, we were delighted to discover we had been upgraded to a suite which was an absolutely superb room, beautifully presented with a comprehensive range of technology. For dinner we had the six course tasting menu and each and every course was delicious. Breakfast the following morning was also excellent with a full english breakfast buffet which was regularly refreshed and also a choice of other dishes from the menu. My wife was delighted with the eggs benedict she ordered. All of the staff we encountered were first rate and couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful.

We rounded off our weekend with a stroll through the grounds before reluctantly leaving Oakley Hall, wishing we had booked for two nights instead of only one!

Room Tip: Cannot recommend the Coachhouse Suite (room 7) highly enough!

We spent the night of Friday 9th March at Oakley Hall and it was lovely. Our room was in the converted stable block and it was very clean, very comfortable and very spacious. The bathroom was lovely, modern, spacious, huge shower as well as a bath, very clean and even had underflorr heating. We went on a special promotion which included a 5 course taster menu, which was really good value for money. The main building is beautiful and has well maintained gardens. We also had very good service and the staff were brilliant. We would certainly recommend a visit.

A fabulous hotel in wonderful grounds. Our room (the Clocktower Suite ) was amazing and the staff and food first class.

Room Tip: The rooms are in a courtyard a short walk from the hotel and are very well equipped and decorated.
