Stayed in the hotel which is part of this establishment. When we checked in, the lady was very friendly and gave us our breakfast voucher which we had paid for in advance. The room price entitles you to a continental breakfast and you have to pay about £4 each to have the buffet english breakfast. The lady explained that breakfast would be available until 1130 hrs. We were at a wedding that evening so next morning had a bit of a lay in. Went into breakfast at 1030, where we we told that if we wanted a drink we would have to pay for it, I explained that we already had paid extra and presented the voucher. The young lady explained to me that drinks were only available with the continental breakfast which had ended at 0930 and if I wanted tea or coffee with my meal then I would have to pay for it. Naturally I was annoyed and she agreed to supply me with a free orange juice. The breakfast itself was ok, it seemed to have been out under the heat for a while before we got to it and a man served you the sausage and bacon so you didnt take too much!?
The hotel was more like a motel with the rooms all on one floor. Rooms were basic, clean with a little bit of mould in the corner.

“Get in early for freshly cooked food”
Reviewed 26 May 2014

Had fish and chips for a late lunch. Fish OK, chips very dry due to standing on carvery counter. The Crown carveries are usually good value for money, but my experience suggests you need to be there for 12 o'clock to be sure of best fresh taste

“This isn't the Hilton but its fine if you don't want to pay big bucks”

We booked this for a business trip however this is more of a stop over or long term stay for people wokring in the area. Overall the rooms are dated but have elements where they have been updated with TVs, the bedroom layout and decent showers. If you don't like the smell of carvery or limited menu don'ty be disappointed, these places make their trade on passing vistors and the reasonbale priced menu.
The staff were very friendly and helpful but there is nothing around you to visit unless you jump in the car, basingstoke about 4 miles away.
Overall a reasonable priced place to stay for a few days as a stopover clean and tidy

“Good value and family/friendly place”
Reviewed 3 April 2014

We regularly come to the beach arms for a meal out that is not going to cost a arm and leg lol, we where recommended the beach arms from my dad and we came to try it out. We are most always satisfied with the food and staff! Once or twice came to have bit dry chicken but the manager was lovely and understanding towards our issue and resolved the problems so everyone is happy. But his is on the off chance! But as we regularly go we have come across it, but we are now now there and staff always welcomes us and have a big smile on there faces.
The meat you can only have a certain amount but you can help yourself to veg ECt as much as you like. But the meat is a large portion anyways so fills me and my partner up every time! The puddings I find are great there share ice cream Sundays are huge! And for £5-6 you can't really go wrong, normally for a couple meal drinks and pudding comes to around £20-25 which I think is great for what your getting!
Would recommend to people to try if you like roast dinners, but they also do fish and pies depends on what day you go so look online! Sundays are there most expensive days but any other Dalits like £5 a meal ! Less then that great for parties on a budget!
