We stayed at the Brisas 12-27 May and had a very enjoyable time. We stayed in the main part of the hotel and the only negative we have is that the room smelt musty and our clothes felt damp when getting them out of the wardrobe.
The staff were very friendly and we never found the front desk rude contrary to what other reviews have said.
The food was fine and there was always plenty of choice. My husband enjoyed fresh prawns and crab claws most nights!
The entertainment was pretty hit and miss. The entertainment team were pretty invisible at times (until they were selling raffle tickets lol)
The FC Rep Ozzy was great, always there when he said he would be and always ready to help. The trips were great. Ee would recommend the Natural Farmer, speedboats, Cuba Life and Holguin by night. Also try the horseriding outside the hotel. The guys name is Ronaldo and he does it for 10 CUC for an hour.
Overall we enjoyed our holiday. It was great value for money and the Cubans were lovely. We neverhad a problem with the locals at the hotel.....after all it is their country. How would we like it if we were told we weren't welcome to go to a hotel in our country because of the tourists?
would we go back? Yes probably in a few years.....it's a big world out there.More
