“Nice hotel but far away from real Egypt”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 January 2011

Very nice hotel. Surprisingly cold in the water, both the sea and the pool: +15C according to the hotel but +18 my own estimate. Anyway, nobody at all was seen swimming.
Nice hotel room cleaners with an artistic touch welcomed us every day with swans, flowers and crocodiles made from the towels. Great fun!
Make the hotel more environmental friendly by only changing the towels and bed linens the guests want changed. Personally I can easily use the same sheets the whole weeks. Give the guests the option, as in every hotel in USA. Similar with towels. Saves your precious water supply - the Nile!
Please tell the persons responsible for the great Shinx in Giza they MUST change the queing system. Now those going in meet those going out in a narrow tunnel. This is exactly how people are stampeded to death in rock festivals in Germany, in religious celebrations in Mekka and in the festival in Kambodja recently. You must have one entrance door and another exit door! We don't want any people killed at the pyramids. It would cost Egypt billions of lost Euros in tourist income.
The market (Souk) in Kairo was great fun with all the life and bargaining.
Nice to see the huge portrait of our personal friend professor Ahmed Zewail (Nobel Prize in chemistry 1999) at the entrance to Kairo. We hope he will inspire the country and the students to work hard, towards Arab countries again becoming a center for science in the world, as it was in the days when algebra was invented in an Arab country.
With the recent events in Tunisia we also wish all Egypt the freedom and democracy your people deserve, as start of a great future for a great country!

I travelled to Ain Sukhna for a conference. Stayed for a night. THe rooms, service, breakfast, dinner was average. Nothing really stood out for us. Our view from the bedroom was a small garden and the car park. The hotel is big and feels grand but somehow did not have that special feel to it, either from a comfort point of view or service. Hence the average review.

We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights. The week that we travelled in was the week of a 3 day muslim festival due to this the Hotel was very busy and noisy. Overall the food was fine and the beech was lovely. We went on a trip to see the Pyramids through the hotel, which was brilliant. We had a private tour guide and driver.
The rooms were cleaned every day but some of the things in the rooms were a bit grubby and dated. We had a sea view which was nice. My husband and I didn't really find the staff that friendly to be honest. If you want to stay somewhere on the sea but near enough to Cario this this is a good place. As with most Hotels in this area there is no point going out of the complex as there is nothing else around. It was hot enough in the day time to lay in the sun but got a bit chilly at night.
Overall we thought the hotel was OK but didn't seem to have such a great time as some of the other travellers that have stayed here!

I have stayed in this hotel one night with my wife but I was really surprised that this hotel is 5 starts due to
-very high price comparing to what you get
-bad food quality and very poor restaurant service
-towel service
-lazy staff
where the only positives i see are
-nice green areas
-clear water sea

conclusion : not recommended

We have been ( myself and my wife ) spending the weekend in the hotel; it was my first time there ; I have choseen the most expensive room ( in the executive floor ) ; frankly speaking I did not like the room at all ; the furniture is very old and the whole room needs to bne refurbished .
Best thing in the hotel is actually the food quality ( Although you would still have to pay for a fresh orange juice in the breakfast , don't think this is a 5 stars attitude :-) ).
The swiming pool is very nice and the beach is OK.
Well I think this is may be the best hotel in Ain Sokhna but when it comes to 5 stars hotel... I won't rate it more than 3-4 stars.
