"Ticked all the boxes"
Excellent food, varied, beautifully presented and mostly Austrian dishes.
We  were looked after extremely well especially the dietary needs of my husband.  We had advised them in advance that he was dairy intolerant. They produced not only soya milk but soya yogurts, soya ice cream and substituted soya appropriately in sauces, desserts etc!
Reception and serving staff were all exceptionally pleasant and helpful and although English was not fluent they all tried hard to speak to us in English.
Comfortable well equipped, clean room. Pleasant garden and pool.
The hotel is set in a small village, with useful shops, including an excellent shoe shop!  Many local walks are accessible straight from the hotel. The bus and train along the main valley also serve the village so that  Krimel and Zell am See are therefore easily visited.  An excellent base for a Pinzgau holiday.
Other plus factors include "serve yourself  drinks all day" I.e. coffee, iced water and tea. Afternoon tea and cake free of charge and the ability to make up a packed lunch at breakfast for a modest price.
We noticed that several guests were regular visitors.  This was our first visit, it won't be the last.

This was our first stay at the hotel and it was quite a pleasant one. The hotel is situated in a picturesque village w/easy access to many area attractions. Lovely postcard-like views from the balcony. We traveled with 2 kids and an infant and found that we had plenty of room. We also we happy that we had opted for the half pension as the food was fantastic. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. You could tell that this was a truly family run operation and that they really care about the experiences of their guests.
The only minor complaint has to do with flies. During the summer this is a bit of a problem due to the grazing cows nearby. We did find the flies to be a bit of a nuisance but there is not much that the hotel can do to alleviate this problem beyond providing fly swatters (which they did.)
We will be happy to return on any future trips to Uttendorf.

We recomend this hotel for those, who are going to ski vacations by car. The location is not on slope, but in the centre of major ski resorts. We use to ski in 5 different depending of our morning mood :)
Excellent relax after active day.
Excellent food.
Excellent family atmosphere.
We have been 4 times there and will go again.
Thank You.

We spent winter holidays 2xtimes and we were totaly satisfied :)
The hotel is family owned and the owners (Andreas and Svetlana) are always around and ready to help you with anything you might need - they even served our food on one of the evenings as a very nice gesture, showing their desire to take good care of their guests.
Food was great and very delicious (well-done for the cook!). Most of the products were advertised to be "organic" - made from local farms. Service was great - although we were often late for dinner (starting from 18h and ending at 20h - a bit early for us!) the girls in the restaurant were always smiling and service was great - thank you.

We spent a week in the hotel and i must say we enjoyed our stay there very much.
The hotel is situated in the center of the village and although during the day it may be too noisy around, during the night it is perfectly silent - life in the village seems to end when it gets dark and not many people are to be seen on the streets after 8 p.m. This is good news for those, who want a good rest. The hotel has a nice warm swimming pool - good for kids.

Food was great - ample and very delicious (well-done for the cook!). Most of the products were advertised to be "organic" - made from local farms. Service was great - although we were often late for dinner (starting from 18h and ending at 20h - a bit early for us!) the girls in the restaurant were always smiling and service was great - thank you Nancy and Catherine!
The hotel has a good position for visiting all of the ski areas around - Kaprun being the biggest with most snow during our stay. Most convenient way to go to the ski areas would be by car - 15-20 mins.
Also, one can go sightseeing to Munchen and Salzburg, should you decide to take a rest of the skiing.
Just a small recommendation - the doors of the hotel rooms and the back entry door for the car parking were very "tightened" and were shutting and slamming very loudly, which during the day was obviously not a problem, but during the night was quite noticeable - maybe because it was so silent at night and that was the only sound you could hear!

All in all we had a good time there and would go back again!
