A very comfortable, well appointed cottage on the main street in Sedgefield, with local shops and pubs close by. A very relaxing location with open countryside on all sides and close to Durham and Newcatle.

“FANTASTIC STAY”
Reviewed 30 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

My husband and our two little dogs have just returned from a wonderful weeks stay in this lovely little cottage. It is a very pretty little village with everything you need, including pubs restaurants and has a lovely little teashop round the corner. The cottage is well equipped for both our needs and the dogs. We really enjoyed the advantage of a hot tub and used it a lot. The village is in a very good location. We will be recommending to our friends and family and will definitely have a return visit ourselves.

“A real home from home.”
Reviewed 25 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

My husband and I stayed at Cherry Blossom Cottage with our 2 adult children and 2 dogs for a local family christening. The cottage was very comfortable and welcoming to come back to, a real home from home. So much more relaxing and comfortable for our family than staying in a B & B. Although no parking at the cottage, there was easy parking directly across the road and lovely parkland for walking the dogs just across the road. Lesley was very approachable and helpful. Would recommend anyone to stay and would not hesitate to stay again when visiting our family in Co Durham.

“Lovely”
Reviewed 23 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Very nice cottage. Excellent location, nice village, bus stop around the corner. Local supermarket has broad offering, including Continental-style bread rolls for breakfast. We did not try the restaurants, but multiple pubs and restaurants are available in Sedgefield. Cottage is very clean, windows close excellently. Cosy living room, nice and functional kitchen, bedrooms are also great.
WLAN worked without problems.
The only minor criticism is that the stone floor in the bath is pretty cold, but we are used to floor heating at home. The bath is quite modern and built as an extension in the back.
We would definitely recommend the cottage if you use public transport or have a car.

I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay in the cottage. It is always lovely to get such positive feedback. I am sorry the bathroom floor was cold, they are stone, perhaps we need to put in some fluffy slippers for people! I hope to see you again in Sedgefield next time you come and visit.

“Lovely cottage, lovely village.”
Reviewed 4 April 2015 for a stay in February 2015

We stayed at the cottage to visit friends in the area and show my young family where I grew up and all the places I loved as a child. It was a lovely cottage to base ourselves and we loved coming back and making a roaring fire in the evenings. Super village to wander around and walk the dog.Durham city is beautiful and just as friendly as I had remembered. The cottage was an ideal base.
