Stumbled on The Hirsel while looking for a coffee shop while driving through Coldstream. We almost baulked at paying the paying the car park fee but then spotted we didn't have to pay anything else so we persevered, glad we did. We spent a few hours walking the grounds and the country life museum. Couldn't get in the house (shame) as it's still the family residence. Had a cup of coffee and a came in the tea room, petty good.
