Had a look at these cottages just as Neil and Jeanette took over in December and a lot of work was required to bring them up to the high standards Neil insists on.
In such a short time he has done a terrific Job and put in a lot of hard work to present them as a high standard accomodation.
We stayed for 3 nights in the Fushia Cottage that easily sleeps 6/7 and found it relaxing and very clean.Sony TV System and wireless internet come as standard( Dogs are allowed in this cottage). My daughters aged 7 and 11 enjoyed many rides on the nearby mini steam train with the free tickets that come with staying at the cottages.
They also enjoyed the rowing boats situated next door and the Mini Monsters play area just across the road. The local pub in Ruswarp is handy and friendly and a short drive up the road towards Sleights takes you to a pleasant riverside cafe. Whitby is only a short drive away so these cottages all in all are ideally situated for a break for either the North Yorkshire moors or the ever popular seaside resort of Whitby. We will be returning on a regular basis. Enjoyed by all of us and made very welcome. Thanks
