“Most fun of our entire trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 February 2010

The concierge at our hotel recommended The Congo Trail Canopy Tour to us--it was the best day of our entire trip. We were staying close to Tamarindo, but we had rented an SUV, so it was a fun albeit bumpy drive. The scenery on the drive was spectacular. The guides were very professional and were extremely nice and helpful with explaining everything that was required for a fun AND safe adventure. Afterwards you can play with monkeys which was a lot of fun and highly recommended--just beware the monkeys will search your pockets and take anything in them, so leave all of your valuables outside the pen before you enter. All in all I would highly recommend The Congo Trail Canopy Tour.

“Fantastic - Whether you're a 2 or 72”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2009

We visited the Congo Trail Canopy Tour folks today. Although everyone made the very bumpy trip (4x4 recommended), I was highly skeptical that all five of us would be up on the zip lines, being that our kids are 2 1/2, 5 and 6 and my wife is scared of heights. Thanks to the calm, expert guidance of the wonderful guides, we all completed not only the 5 basic zips, but the full 11 lines. Yes, this is not an Amazonian rain forest, but the forest is an amazing green, the views of the hills are remarkable, the rides are exhilarating, and you get your fair share of moneys (and a tarantula!). Thank you, Congo team, for giving every member of my family a safe, thrilling experience that none of us will ever forget.

“GO in JUNE”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 July 2009

If you want to experience a truly green forest you must go towards the end on June. We had a great time and I had to pay my wife 50 bucks.I bet her she would not go upside down or superman style. She did it.It is a real clean operation and was recommended by an ex zip line guide as the best in the area( Playa Hermosa is where we stayed)

“Would go again in a heartbeat!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 June 2009

We did this tour during our vacation this week and absolutely loved it. We had the Congo Trail's complimentary transportation pick us up in Playa Conchal. The four wheel drive vehicle was very well outfitted for the bumpy back country roads and we felt very comfortable in the hands of their driver (it takes about 40 minutes to get from Playa Conchal to the canopy tour). The views while on the ziplines were excellent! There were monkeys in the trees right next the several of the ziplines. The guides were very professional and made you feel at ease. Several times the guides gave us the option of riding a section of zipline upside down which looked very fun. It was a great deal for $45 and I would definitely go again. The souvenir shops prices are very reasonable and they have a great selection of t-shirts. If you are in the Playa Conchal or Playa Flamingo area this is definately the canopy tour you should go on.

“Best $50 i've ever spent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 March 2009

Did this tour last year, simply amazing, yes its a dry rain forest, so its not as lush as other areas, but we still had a group of monkeys right next to us on one of the platforms. Very friendly and crazy guides. This trip is not for the weak or the timid though, zip lining is extreme! extreme fun!
