“Immaculate and friendly”
Reviewed 14 June 2013

We stayed 3 nights and would return without hesitation. Decor, cleanliness and facilities throughout the property are excellent. The breakfast room is a light and airy conservatory (or you can sit at tables outside, on the patio), there are lots of menu choices and the food is tasty and high quality. The lounge is comfortable and attractively furnished. Julie and Stuart were always friendly, always available to advise on local attractions and walks, or just to chat, without ever being intrusive. Amroth is on the eastern edge of the Pembrokeshire National Park, and as a base from which to explore the southern and eastern part of the Park, this guest house is hard to beat.

Comfortable, clean, excellent breakfast, helpful hosts, convenient location - what more do you want from a B & B? We spent two nights but we'll be back for a longer stay later on this year. Ah, mustn't forget the homemade cakes and tea upon arrival! Excellent.

Immaculate room, good food and a helpful host to give hints on where to go and where to eat! What more does one need? After 3 weeks of touring, to reach this beautiful place, 150 m from the beach, and not to get into the car until one is forced to leave was bliss. We spent the day walking the striking Pembrokeshire Coast path and on our return were met by Julia and Welsh cakes!

Room Tip: Room 5 was superb.

This is a delightful place to stay if you want to explore this area of Wales. The B&B is situated just up the road from the beach at Amroth and we could see the sea from our patio windows. The room also overlooked the pretty garden and the wooded hill on the opposite side of the valley. The room itself was small but immaculately clean. The en suite bathroom was beautifully appointed and it had a bath! There was plenty of choice for breakfast which was freshly prepared to order. Stuart and Julie were very friendly and could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. If we are ever in the area we would definitely stay here again.

Loved it here. Stuart and Julie were very welcoming. When we arrived Julie gave us some lovely homemade cakes and tea as a welcome. The decor in the room we stayed in (the Badger room) and their whole house was lovely and homely. Everything about the room we had and the bathroom was very clean. The bath products were lovely also. Perhaps the bath towels could of been bigger though. They are based in a great area and they have great garden grounds set amongst the country and just down the road is an amazing beach called Amroth which is sandy, large and has great flat rock pools that look like they could be waterfalls. They love their animals as they have many bird feeders set up around their grounds, a fish pond and they feed a local resident badger at night which they kindly came and got me at night so I could see it feeding. Breakfast was excellent all so fresh and tasty and Stuarts yoghurt mix was lovely. I would highly recommend anyone to stay there if they want a nice welcoming couple, nice size room, great grounds, quiteness, down the road from a beach and to be local to Saundersfoot/Tenby and places such as Folly Farm etc. Would for sure stay at Mellieha Guest House again if in Wales.

Room Tip: Badger Room has a balcony

The service is excellent, really friendly and they can't do enough to help you. The rooms are well decorated and spotless. Breakfast has everything you could want and the area itself is beautiful. Perfect little getaway! x

We stayed for 2 nights in May, and were completely amazed at the overall standard of the b&b! Everywhere is spotlessly clean from the decor to the carpets, bedding, towels and rooms. The breakfasts were excellent with a good range of foods available, and the hosts were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
If your looking for a get-away in a beautiful, quiet setting, 5minute walk from the beach, in a comfortable room and eat fabulous food, then Mellieha is for you!!
