We stayed at this hotel very recently after our wedding locally.
We stayed in the bridal suite which was ok generally they did accommodate our friends leaving us a couple of "surprises" in our room which were fun.
The room was clean on the whole although there were paint stains on the carpet under the 2 windows in the room and when we turned on the jacuzzi setting on the bath it blew little speckled black bits in to the water but an empty and refill soon had things back on track.
I must say the staff were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble when requested we were particularly impressed with a member of staff who was vacuuming near the lobby early morning, he stopped what he was doing made us a cup of tea and took it outside to the benches so we could enjoy our morning ciggie with a cuppa, thank you
The room was really hot and was surprised there was no air conditioning in a hotel built around 2007 however the windows open all night cooled things a bit but it is a 3 star hotel which is difficult to remember as on the whole the public areas really reflect more
Now for the niggles
Asked for and invoiced for a bottle of champagne however an Italian "equivalent" was left in the room. If I order champagne I expect champagne not just overpriced fizz. I did not mention it at the time as this was our wedding night, we saved the bottle unopened to drink on our anniversary which was always the intention
Upon being served breakfast in our room as requested no tea or coffee was served on the tray until requested as we had a kettle and sachets in our room
The quality of the breakfast could have been better although our request for certain items was fulfilled which is great, the quality of the sausages served was rather poor (chip shop quality) the hotel is surrounded by countryside and farm shops within a mile this could be a golden opportunity to showcase the local areas produce and perhaps give further opportunity to other local businesses
The TV in the room is far too small if you want to watch tv in bed in relation to the size of the room
The paint covered makita jacket left on the back of the chair in the lobby for our entire stay
In summary would I stay again? Yes I would but with the knowledge that this is firmly a 3* establishment and that the customer service is excellent
