This is one of the best ski hotels we have stayed in for convenience and ambiance. It is right on the slope and just above a lift. We arrived early to a lovely greeting by Jennie, who spoke very good English even though we could have used the practise to speak French .Indeed all the young staff were friendly and seemed to be pleasant naturally.
Our room was available and had a nice bathroom, every where was clean and suitable for people with lots of ski wear to store. Dinner on the first night was very good if a little more expensive than other restaurants. Service was swift and efficient as you might expect in a hotel that was not busy that week. My only gripe was the size of the bath towels, small and thin.
I thought 20 euro's for the use of the spa per person was a bit steep so did not use it. I liked the bar area and the outdoor terrace.
Underground Car parking was available. again for a price ,but we managed to find a spot on the 3 car bay just above the hotel which was free. I am guessing that this was because the hotel was so quiet but there is cheaper public parking near by. The Breakfast buffet was good, although the coffee poor. No tea making facilities in the room which I would have expected in a 4 star hotel . In all, a pleasant stay due particularly to the friendly attitude of the staff especially Jennie.

Room Tip: The ones facing down hill have nice balconies overlooking the lift.

This could be a 4 star. Looks nice, the restaurant and its staff are professional and the food is good. Rooms are nice too. Some rooms are also go for 500€. So you expect it to be a top hotel.
Yet, some things just don’t work, pure and simple.
The Spa facilities are not included. After you pay 20€ you find out that the sauna stays at less than 60C. Coming from North it is a ridiculously freezing temperature. People would come in and jump out.
Breakfast lacks certain items which are standard in any 3 star hotel.
Some personnel is nice and helpful. But some other just brush you off like an annoyance.
My advice: Fix the sauna and more importantly, say “sorry” when something doesn’t work and clients are not happy. You want them to come back aren’t you?

Had an awful experience here using their Spa facilities. After being in the Spa for only about half an hour I managed to burn my foot on a floor level pipe sticking out in the steam room. I had to ask 3 separate members of staff for some kind of 1st Aid asssistance as each successive one either forgot about or ignored me - 30 minutes before I got a very basic vaseline dressing, which made the burn much worse (it was raw red and later swelled up and blistered). My Spa exprience was obviously completley spoilt, so got dressed to leave. When I complained at the Reception that I felt this steam room was dangerous and could potentially cause someone serious burns, the Manager actually laughed at me, refusing to accept any responsibility for my injury and did not care at all about the fact that his staff were not interested in providing 1st Aid to one of their customers..... shocking!!

This hotel bills itself as a 4 star hotel, but it was at least three stars short during our stay in March 14. The kitchen had a meltdown on our arrival night and the waiting staff were in denial that anything was wrong - running around like headless chickens and failing to explain the delays or the dreadful food. Admittedly, the management apologised the following morning and made a modest financial adjustment to the bill, but the food only improved from the inedible to the very mediocre during the rest of our stay.
The other features of the hotel are quirky at best. The bedrooms are too small, have only one chair per double room, no mirror in the bedroom and have a window in the internal bathroom which floods the bedroom with light in the middle of the night. At least the beds were comfortable.
The staff are pleasant enough but you feel that their loyalty is to the management and not to the guests.

Room Tip: Choose another hotel!

We recognized a problem your first evening and apologised one more time for this.

But we don't really understand the continuation of your report?

We indeed spoke with you every day before this incident to be sure than you spent a good stay and try to make you forget the bad moment the fisrt evening.
Each time you had smile and look like receptive to our consideration.
All the guests feel the same this sunday evening but also feel the difference nexts days when things are normal.

Most of our guests (80%) are recurring in the hotel and represent for us our references.
Unfortunately they don't tell all their satisfaction.

And finally please note than we are not a 4 stars hotel (please watch our own website). We have no stars. We propose a modern comfort and a good looked standing but the "stars system" is not in our minds.

I pray you to trust in all our consideration in relation with your report and we will happy to welcome you anymore to share our desire to make you spend a good stay.

With regards,
BL.

We spent the first week of March here. The food was apppaling, rooms inadequate and the management lacked professionalism - definite training need. In it's favour there was plenty of hot water for post ski-ing baths and the beds were comfortable.
Fortunately the ski-ing was great - it is a lovely resort but we most certainly would not go back to this hotel.

Myself and a friend decided to splash out on our annual ski holiday this year for a bit of luxury. Luxurious it isn't.
On arrival at the resort Crystal dropped us off at the foot of a 200m hill - we had to haul our suitcases, skis, and bootbags up this snow covered hill to the hotel as the Anova has no pick-up service.
The hotel is nice enough but pretty basic, our room was small but adequate, with plenty of storage. The room lighting was dim, and the only mirrors were in the bathroom - as the fan was not working they soon steamed over.
I am a vegetarian, so the evening meals soon turned into a major hassle. The menu is a set three course meal, and was always meat or fish, apart from the raclette night. There are a few poor alternative options, but deviate from the set menu and you are charged 2euros per meal.
The spa should be free; it is no big deal and the pool is tiny. I have stayed in much cheaper hotels with far superior and free facilities.
Being able to ski down to the draglift was really handy.
The "music" in the bar was dire, it was the same beat beat beat all week apart from an evening of live music which was good.
Nice resort, great ski slopes, shame about the hotel.

Had a lovely two weeks at this hotel at the beginning of Feb 14. The hotel is lovely and very clean. Rooms were very comfortable and quiet. The staff, especially the two lads in the restaurant, couldn't do enough for you. We enjoyed the food and the bar was really nice. We would definitely stay there again. Ski in and out is a real bonus.
