Had an absolutely lovely stay here, which even the poor weather couldn't dampen. The tents were brilliant-far more roomy and comfy than I had anticipated. The view out of the tent was lovely.

The tents were so cosy and dark that our children slept past 8am-which never happens at home! The stove is a little tricky but just ensure that you get in going a good hour before you want to cook.

But what really makes the place are the hosts, Richard & Wendy. They are very friendly and helpful. The farm tour is a must and was fascinating. The pizza evening was great fun with delicious food.

The honesty shop was great and the local produce delicious, particularly the bacon and double gloucester cheese.

Would definitely try another Featherdown place and hope we can revisit here too. Couldn't recommend more highly, huge thanks to Richard & Wendy for making us feel so welcome.

We have just returned from a fantastic weekend at moor farm ( sadly had to leave after 2 nights due to school!) We had gone with our 2 children aged 10 and 12 and our dear friends and their two aged 10 and 14 as well as our little dog.
The farm itself is 'famous five' perfect - beautiful rolling fields, friendly livestock that we were encouraged to interact with and Wendy and Richard treated us like old friends and couldn't have been more welcoming.
The safari tents themselves had everything we needed and were clean, comfortable and beautifully positioned. The shower block was also very clean and the water piping hot - with an occasional 'fresh burst' to invigorate!
We went on the farm tour in the first morning and Richard explained a lot about the sustainable farming methods he uses - we all found this really interesting and went on to have several conversations about it over the weekend.
We hired the pool for an hour and the children thoroughly enjoyed cooling off on the hottest weekend of the year.
The pizza night has received high acclaim in previous reviews and justifiably so - down entirely to the lovely manner of our hosts. The pizza was delicious as was the cider and the children had a great time feeding the calf before being treated to a ride on the quad bike with Richard.
All of us have left wanting to return, with our batteries recharged, and with the great memories of time spent focussing on the things that matter most.
Thanks for a lovely break Richard and Wendy, we hope to see you again next year.

We have just returned from a four day break at wonderful Moor Farm.
I can not recommend enough everything about Moor Farm.
The initial warm welcome, the perfect accommodation, the amazing views, the perfect location and walks to explore, the cute and very friendly animals,
to the not to be missed pizza and cider evening.
Richard and Wendy are perfect hosts, full of passionate stories and information about the life of a farmer, they ooze enthusiasm and you are quickly welcomed into the family.
The breakfast baskets are well worth the money, sausages, bacon and eggs a delicious treat and croissants warm and melt in the mouth.
The facilities were perfect, beds comfortable, everything provided to enable you to cook as much or as little as you want. Sausages and bacon sizzling over the log burning stove was a very pleasurable experience. Evenings spent with candles and oil lamps glowing and the warmth from the stove, provided a very relaxing end to perfect days.
Did we want to leave? No!
Will we return? For sure!
Thank you from four very happy humans and one very content dog!

We have just returned from a long weekend break at Featherdown Moor Farm. The Safari tent was absolutely fantastic. We are a family of 5, my girls are 7, 5 and 2 so finding accommodation that works for us is hard, but these tents were perfect. The tents are secluded with a lovely wood behind so the kids spent hours on the tree swing and playing hide and seek. The best part of the weekend was the time spent with the hosts Richard and Wendy. The farm tour was really interesting and fun for the kids and the pizza making evening was fab for all ages! We found the whole experience magical.

We stayed at Moor farm during Easter weekend and had an absolutely fabulous time. Richard and Wendy went out of their way to make us feel welcome and we thoroughly enjoyed pizza night with them on the Saturday evening (this is a must if you stay here.)
We were lucky enough to see some piglets being born and see some lambs which were less than a day old. The farm is beautiful and the surroundings are fabulous for walking and exploring. There is a marina close by which our children enjoyed looking at all of the different canal boats, it also has a cafe with some very tasty cakes!
But back to the farm- the swimming pool is great to have a splash in and only costs £10 to hire for an hour. The tent, like every feather down, is lovely and set back from the farm itself. There are pigs, cows, sheep, chicken, a horse and dogs on he farm- the children adored them all!
The farm tour is most interesting and we got to hear about the history of the farm and what it's like to be a farmer! My son enjoyed the trailer ride the most.
This was a most enjoyable weekend away, enjoying Spring time on a farm.
