This was the most charming little churc we saw during our stay. It's located in Duomo, right next to Turrisi bar. The view in front of the church is beautiful, and it's bells ring every 15 minutes and everyday at 7.30 a.m. and 8.30 p.m. they ring a liitle song. So beautiful and romantic. We were very sorry that we've missed a Sunday mass, but will try to go next time we visit.

If you are holidaying in Italy it can easily get to the point where you can't be bothered entering another church unless you have a strong religious inclination. We always find at least one interesting feature with each church that we visit and we are not strongly religious.

This is a typical small Italian village church but it's the setting that's perfect. It's situated in a
lovely little piazza and at the back of the church (outside) there is the most amazing view down the coastline(from over the rooftops)

Wonderful church located in the heights of the town of Taormina. I was able to see it twice in the last 7 years and both times I went therein the evening and unfortunately it was closed.
I settled, however, to admire it from the outside and from the square where the main entrance is located. Very suggestive sight and fascinating, not so much by its beauty, but thanks to the breathtaking landscape from which it is surrounded by the enchanting and especially the square from which you access. In the evening, even if the church is closed it is fully illuminated and can be visited only externally in the back side where you can see the beautiful facade and huge panoramic view over the Taormina's countryside.
