Being in a tent you need to limit expectations, yet this camp was well decorated and maintained and toilets and shower were very clean.. Please note that water any time would be warm, super warm, to wash with..but most important for a place which has electrical supply a fan at least would have made our experience far more better, as inside the camp was unbearable to sleep making us needing to sleep outside on the floor..Regards the wind and sand coming from everywhere well that's the desert :)

Room tip: A great experience but don't forget that it is super hot in the camp during the night

This is a MUST DO if you go to Morocco and well worth the 9-hour drive there and back. We choose to the one night stay option and were treated so politely from the moment we arrived with refreshing beverages while we took in the amazing sights of the dessert. Sunset and sunrise on the dunes by camels was breathtaking and you simply cannot put into words the beauty of it. Food and accomodation tent were 5-star and we would like to give a special thanks to both Mohammeds, the very talented drummer and the camel herder.

HOWEVER the trip would have been nothing without our amazing driver and new found friend Halid. Although he was just the driver, he went out of his way and gave us an a memorable experience with his friendly personality and enjoyable conversations. Not to mention he is a very skilled driver and took us to some wonderful stopovers along the way with some extras that were not included on itinerary including the Rosewater factory, traditional Berber Carpet shop, Kasbah Telouet and many more. We know from experience tour guides and drivers can try to rip you off and be pushy in trying to sell you local goods however Halid was very genuine and honest in his work and took good care of us. We were truly lucky to be escorted by this experienced and professional gentleman, Merzouga Luxury Desert Camps should be honoured to have him! If you do decide to do this trip, we highly recommend you request Halid. You will be left in good hands. Thanks again!

As you getting in the king bed looked small because of the site of the tent. Tasteful decorated, anything you need and first time experience sleeping next to the desert. The wind non stop through the night did not bother me as I was saying 'that's what I came for" for experience something different and I got it. The food was excellent, got a bottle of red Morocco wine as a thank you token from "Under Morocco Sun" was very much appreciated. I wished could stay two nights instead of one. Was worth every penny the rides with the camels was my priorities on this trip and the company hired provided from me. I thank you.

What an experience! I didn't quite know what to expect, but our entire time at the camp was incredible from beginning to end. We were picked up on time by our friendly driver and made our way to the camp, where we were welcomed with a cold drink in the comfort of the main tent. The desert setting is beautiful, and our tent was beyond what we could have expected. I knew there would be a toilet and shower in the tent but certainly didn't expect air conditioning! The furnishings in the tent were very comfortable with tasteful decoration. At sunset we went for a beautiful and quite comfortable camel ride, which was a great experience as the sun set over the dunes. We then proceeded to the luxurious dining tent and were served a delicious meal with wine, followed by a performance of traditional music. (I would urge people to show their respect for the staff by staying for the music; it seemed very rude when half of the guests walked out at the beginning of the performance.) The only negative thing that happened was that a dust storm blew up and we couldn't see the stars, but that wasn't the fault of Merzouga Luxury Desert Camp. In the morning you can take a sunrise camel ride before the ample breakfast. Staff are very warm and welcoming, adding to this very special experience.

From the moment we arrived, my family of three were treated like royalty. Even my six year old felt like a princess. A wonderful place to unwind from a long day of travel, our tent had all the accommodations one could want. Who knew you could outfit a tent in the desert with a shower, toilet and air conditioning. However, you won't want to stay long inside with the beautiful Sahara surrounding you. Our sunset ride on the camels was a once in a lifetime experience and not to miss if you're a lover of photography. The food was absolutely delicious. Top notch. You will not be disappointed.
