The food here was good but not quite on a par with local competition. The menu is very similar to some others nearby.

The restaurant was almost empty throughout our visit but oddly the service was very fast paced, meaning our three course meal was done in just over an hour, not quite in line with our romantic evening meal expectations!

The staff are very attentive but need to think about whether they are rushing the diners. We just got the impression they were all keen to go home early!

It needs to be said, the location is beautiful and this place has the potential to be an extremely romantic place to eat. Would recommend booking to get a rail seat.

If you are hungrey, go to the sunday buffet... the fish cakes are lovely, and the staff really look after you.

Visited on a Friday night in May....no atmosphere - dead as a dodo. Unfortunately the staff did nothing to "liven" it up - oddly robotic and going through the motions. Entertainment was one fella on a guitar that finished at 8.30pm...on previous visits had a jazz band on balcony? (cost cutting I guess) Food fine - left after two courses - you could hear a pin drop...been a few times before but will not go back. What a shame as a great location. Could be so nice and has been in previous years.....The only dining disappointment of our trip.

Great location, and the food and drink was good. Service good as well. Recommended for lunch and dinner, although didn't think much of the steel band entertainment on Sunday nights.

Lovely fresh food in wonderful modern setting.
We sat outside which was lovely. The staff were very friendly
and nothing was to much trouble.
